Beautiful. When I was diagnosed, it took me 3 days to tell my husband and 4 to tell my daughter. You have to process that word privately and deal with your family privately. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when I was 38. My husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer 10 years later. We both had surgeries and 20 years later we are both still cancer free. It's a difficult thing to hear and even more difficult to tell your children. We'd just had our first grandchild when I was diagnosed. Our faith kept us strong. I was afraid of this. Prayers going up for you! Do not loose hope!! I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer, multiple tumors, it had spread. A year & 2/2 later I'm beating it. I've had 2 major surgeries, 2 major surgeries, 9 chemos &. I'm on targeted therapy now. The past nine months, it grew up bigger and bigger. In 1996 I was diagnosed and given chemotherapy three times a week for one year. My girls were four years old and five years old at the time and after the year the test came back that I was still positive. In the year, 2000 a new drug had come out that was supposed to eradicate what was growing in my body, so I decided to take treatment. That treatment was also three times a week for a year with five dose of the first chemotherapy agents that I use before plus another cocktail. I passed away and I saw my father in the tunnel and my feet were going towards the light and I screamed. Please put me back in my body until my children don’t need me anymore. Well safe to say my children are now 32 and 33 years old and I never thought I would make it to 40 but last year was my 60th birthday. They gave me 3 to 5 years to live in 1996 and I’m still alive. Please do not lose Hope when you are in this situation. My prayers go out to princess Catherine, Prince William, and the whole Royal family, especially their three precious children. Is the new cancer treatment referred to as proton therapy there's another name and it treats only the cancer and doesn't affect other cells cells. The name of it is called cyclotron. I'm surprised no one suggested it unless your cancer cannot be treated that way.
