That's a lovely portrait. It captures them very well. Far from being a "power" portrait, it's very dignified, yet relaxed, approachable and warm. The artist did a fabulous job. How unnerving it must be to see your image everywhere, and to have others watching you as it's presented to you. They handled it very gracefully.

Catherine is just gorgeous in this portrait. The emerald green dress she’s wearing is so vibrant and beautiful also. However William’s face looks hardened and aged at least a decade older than his years. He has a much more youthful face which the painting did not capture. Lovely job on Catherine. William looks 50.

My Grand daughter adores Kate and now insists my wife makes the same dresses Kate wears. Now whenever we help at the food bank my grand daughter insists on riding her pony and wearing Kate’s dresses! The food bank patrons absolutely adore my grand daughter and they always bow and curtsy when she rides her pony to help them.

It is a lovely double portrait. The artist captured their likeness and it is a flattering picture of them. The Duke looked very dapper, and Catherine, gosh, that woman's beauty and elegance is unparalled. In terms of coloring, it's not quite at the level of Sargent, but the sheen on the Duchess dress is very well executed.

Her name is Catherine. When William asked us to refer to his wife by her given name of Catherine, he meant all the time, not just once in a while. (You give Harry's wife respect and she CHOSE her name. All Catherine wants is to be referred to by her birth name. Why is that too much to ask?)
