And there are companies founded by their countrymen which help them obtain as many free benefits as they can. So you end up with Africans in free housing with free medical. Back in the sixties I lived with my mother-in-law for two years, and she was always bemoaning the work ethic of the younger teachers. Every generation is taught less and less. Well, I don't understand that! Even if students aren't taught something in school that does not mean they can't learn on their own! I learned how to play the piano and how to paint by being self taught. I've never understood students who can find an excuse for not learning. You don't learn only from what is taught to you be someone else. There has to be a natural innate curiosity and a desire to learn. Let's be honest! The real reason these children don't learn is just plain old laziness. God gave everyone a brain; regardless of their background, people are not stupid; but they definitely can be lazy and want to play instead of work. And hand held calculators, home computers, cell phones have exacerbated that laziness. How many young people can do long division by hand without a calculator? And don't tell me they don't need to know the reasoning behind getting answers from a calculator. If you don't know what you are feeding into a machine, then you have absolutely no way to determine if the answer produced by that machine is correct or not. And not being able to write cursive is inexcusable.
