Respect to you RJ, I rode into London for a meeting yesterday from Gatwick for the first time in probably 10 years since I used to commute and got completely soaked. Jeez it's crazy, pushbikes everywhere going in every direction like there's no tomorrow, not sure which bus lanes you can and can't use, new road layouts.... it's like a war zone, gridlock that makes filtering a dangerous game indeed, but if you don't you'll get nowhere. Also got a parking ticket in Drury lane from Westminster council despite paying for my bike's parking due to their voice system registering one digit of my numberplate as a B not a V. Wish I'd taken the train on reflection lol

14:40 happen to me in the bad Storms the other week in Australia on the East Coast ( for anyone from the area ), going around a roundabout and just lost it, first accident in 3 1/2 years and it hurt. Didn't have Wet Weather Protective Gear, only the Wet Weather part, regret it now. Getting the Bike fixed this week, hopefully its not to serious and harsh on the wallet. I'll be back to riding as soon as i can though, not letting that stop me. Doubt even a broken leg would ( unless its the left lol... )

Well, I've only ever ridden with a clear visor once and that was when I did my CBT. In a year and a bit of riding and commuting I've never had a problem with the police and my visor.

No, it's so they can tell who you are in terms of police benefits. But I don't think they're regulating the visor thing a lot though, since it's a relatively new rule but with all rules like that sooner or later they're going to be strict on enforcement. Which I think is a shame since in a lot of countries where it's very sunny people, like RJ, prefer visors, for safety aspects.

RJ, I own and ride a Ducati Hypermotard 1100S with a 2-1 race Termi pipe (you'd love the sound). In Canada we don't have Nuda's.. have you ridden a Hyper 1100S? If so are they comparable? By the spec sheet they are similar but I had to ask. Great video's mate. Cheers from Canada.

When I was looking for a bike, it was between the street fighter, the 1100 and the Nuda, test rode all of them, ended up with the Nuda. They are similar but I jelled with the Nuda more.

She looks and SOUNDS brilliant I don't blame you. I also run a 2011 Triumph Speed III with arrow low boy. She has zero rider aids and really both bikes will bite you if not careful. Id imagine the BMW S1000R you have excels with traction control, ABS and quick throttle. Would you say each "generation" of motorcycle compliment each other? I really would like the S1000XR as my next bike and I wonder about the newer tech VS the older.

I would say every rider should learn on a bike with Zero aids. At the end of the day, you can always switch off all the aids as you can on the R and XR.
