What to wear, what to bring and do's and don'ts.
When you are a guest in someone's home, you wouldn't walk in, dump your grocery store bag on the counter, and then sit on the first seat you come to and not move. LOL, I hope not... You probably wouldn't spray sunscreen all over furniture, and when you use the bathroom, you probably want the toilet to flush properly.
So...
It's true that a marine toilet works differently to your toilet at home, and if you've never used one before, this video will save you the embarrassment of not knowing how to flush properly. The toilet is the real cultural shocker for most guests. I enjoyed my day cruises on house boats on the Shuswap, Athabasca and Slave lake house boats in western Canada and all these rules apply. Respect your dock side crew and boat driver/captain and listen to any safety advice they have. You don't want to freeze to death for falling overboard because you failed to listen to what crew and captain said.

A must see for all my guests! But for the toilette I’m much more “taleban” ,no paper in the toilet,but in a dedicated bag,into a toilet waste basket. Sorry but no one like to repair a blocked toilette!

I absolutely and totally agree with you! NO PAPER, NO HAIRS, NO TAMPONS, NO CONDOMS, etc. into the toilet. Only things that have been eaten or drunk beforehand, nothing else! PLEASE!!! Twice I had to fix the toilet on board after the guests disembarked. It's really not very appetising, believe me!
