The article from the LA Time is so upsetting. The media and the online trolls are so upsetting. The Palace did NOT mess up anything. The response of so many people is what is messed up. This is NOT about mistakes in media strategy. As I mentioned in a previous comment, the only mistake was overestimating the kindness and patience of others. The illness of the Princess of Wales does not have to be a "teachable moment" while this family is actually in the midst of it. Later, perhaps...but now? Have these critics considered the time it takes to adjust to the news oneself when one gets a diagnosis or adjust to the treatment before having to share it? She had asked for time and was not given it. Perhaps the Prince and Princess thought they could make some decisions in that time as well as adjust as individuals and as a family. I am shocked at the judgment and lack of understanding. But I guess I should not be. Brittany expressed it all much better than I have. Explaining gravity to a chicken....that was just brilliant Brittany.

A person named laowhy is on YT, and he says both Russia and China use propaganda websites very well. They even pay Western web sites to print their propaganda. I suspect this is also occurring with Ukraine and Israeli/Gaza conflict. It is difficult to know the truth. You have to watch several different mainstream channels (they are all biased one way or the other) and watch some foreign channels, too. I am on some conservative web sites, and I see people believing crazy stuff. Same with liberal channels. I think the game is to divide the country so that it no longer functions well--which is kind of where we are in the US. IMO.

There has been attacks during our last presidential elections (France), allegedly coming from Russia. Recently a major hack of our institutions websites, medical files have been dowloaded on a massive scale. Of course, France is a republic, so no massive attacks on a public figure like the PoW, but politicians are being targeted. There are very strict laws about privacy in France and no tabloid press, (only gossipy magazines) but social media are just as bad as anywhere else. Let's say the cyber attacks are more targeted on the institutional level. IMHO, it is another form of war against countries.

It is not unprescideted. These countries try to destabilize the US, UK and others. Most the Heads of State are bypassed. We need to lower our expectations as to how much we see the royals. We got so used to seeing Catherine almost daily that when she was suddenly gone it was a shock. But Charles has handled it a bit better, showing him opening cards, driving to the hospital and back. So we know he is around and getting better with treatment. But everyone handles things differently.

For someone being treated for cancer he is still working incredibly hard (mind you, he's a workaholic and stopping might be more damaging than continuing in his case)
