@@Finding-Fish - enjoy! Many years ago I stayed at a resort in Varadero called Punta Blanca. Apparently, it was Al Capone's old beach house. It is now a restaurant called La Casa de Al. Some cool history there! Fun fact, it was right beside Joseph Kennedy's old beach house. Might be true!

Another great video and excellent review!! The price you paid is phenomenal. The food looks great and the groundskeeping is awesome. I like anything cooked over charcoal!! Oh, how I love these older resorts. They feed my soul. The newer resorts are all u-shaped, and lack the lovely curves and rock sculptures in their landscaping. One thing I always enjoy is trading books, if they have a little book exchange. I am newly retired, so if I see a deal on this resort, I can go at any time! It looks wonderful!

Amazing rate for that hotel. I usually stay at the Playa CSM and as a repeat guest get treated very well but I would like to stay at the Royalton. I don't recall you doing a review of the Playa, stayed before at Melia Las Dunas a few times but they did not treat repeat clients all that great and found it went down hill and the resort is way too big.
