They say sand flies are bad out there and mistaken for bed bugs. Did you all have any issues? I'm going in June and needed to know if I should bring something for protection.

Maybe the time of year you go differ. I didn’t come across any sand fly issues when I went in October but to be safe, bring your protection! You’ll have so much fun when you go tho 🙌🏾

Hi! I have a wedding to attend there in May. I’ll be there for a few days. I’m expecting and terrified of mosquitoes and Zika.. how were the mosquitoes on the resort or in general? I called and they did say they fumigate but I just want to be sure

I didn’t experience any mosquito problems. My daughter was there and she did not get any bites the entire time and usually they love kids. I’m not sure if it’s the time I went but it was in October. Maybe they aren’t around as much then! On the other hand, bring a lot of 🔥 fits for the wedding because there are some great pictures spots on the resort lol
