@@toastedbun9672 Canonically Gaz is barely a year younger than Dib, and I think they were much older than a year old when they met, buuut this is an AU, so it's fair to assume Gaz wasn't around at that point. But I prefer to believe Membrane is just all for gay romance for his gay son and wanted all the best for him. For once at least Membrane is a wholesome father. I just don't know how is this alliance supposed to last without starting a bloodline.

Many people Don’t understand how medieval unions worked. The nobiliary title has only an owner, the husband or wife of that owned id the consort. He or She have not right to that title. In the medieval conception the heir was vital. Seeing how high was the infantile death rate the women were made into some kind of “Child factories”. The people should understand a simple thing. The feudalism is a economic system where some powerful individual are in control of the land ande there is no state, or, If there is, it’s more likely to be a pseudo-state ruled by a king and virtually having no power, at least on it’s purest examples (look at the early Capet France). The local lord being the owner of the territory. That is dangerously close to the anarco-capitalism that some sectors of the neo-liberals deffend nowadays.
