As a Hispanic woman living in Texas... Katie thank you for being respectful and capturing the beauty. My abuelita lived deep in the desert in Durango Mexico. She wore aprons with her hand done embroidery. She passed away and it broke my heart. I managed to get a hold of one of her aprons, I'm going to take out one of the patches of embroidery and attach it to the end of my wedding veil. I want you to know I absolutely love this soap and I'm going to try really hard to get my hands on one to gift it to my mom and dad. I've watched you for many years, like.... 5 and I'm so proud of you. Thank you so much. I know it sounds silly but this soap means a lot to me. After a bit of research, apparently the "pull ribbon" type of piñatas are Cuban in origin and have been around as early as the 1940's-1950's. I guess Cubans that honeymooned in Mexico in the 40's brought the tradition of piñatas back with them but made a few modifications

back in elementary school, during certain holidays, upperclassmen would make piñatas for us kids and we’d crack them open. WELL, when it came to MY turn, (i was the third kid to take a crack at it) i hit it so hard that it fell off of the ceiling and hit a desk, so i had to smash it into the ground to open it and honestly, i felt powerful. edit: after that, the teachers never let me hit the piñata until everyone else was done

Oh wow, I love this so much! The fragrance description + swirl top reminded me of Fruit Stripes gum (with far less white). I always loved Fruit Stripes for at least 30 seconds, lol. Was it just me, or did that gum lose its flavor fast as heck? Good memories, though - and that's why I love your channel.

I just received my first royalty soaps order about an hour ago, right off the bat it smells HEAVENLY! I got night jasmine. It lathers well and doesn’t leave my skin all dried out and crusty. Hello Katie and Kenny! I’m a beginner soap maker (melt and pour, womp womp) but I was wondering if you would ever do like a beginner’s guide to cold process? Like how you chose your oil base, the best places to get them, etc etc; and all the other important details? I’m honestly waiting to learn the basics from you guys since, honestly, I tried watching other tutorials and they put me to sleep and were hard to fully understand. I love the fun and honesty you guys have and I binge watch multiple videos of your’s everrrrry night in bed so I can work my brain. Wow. I just finished a harrowing attempt at a three color batch that started to set *super quickly*. I stick blended for all of five seconds. I couldn't figure it out; I thought that maybe one of the essential oils was accelerating it. Maybe it was just too warm in my kitchen? No idea. I added kaolin clay... Thank you, now I know. So many great tips; thank you!
