I have a chestnut cracking tool and I don't like chestnuts. I don't even remember buying it, it just appeared in my kitchen junk draw one day. 😂

Your soaps are so epic, absolutely love your work. I've only just started making soaps for my daughter and I've started to get so creative now people want my stuff ... Watching you gives me inspiration and such joy cause I've never seen soap making so beautiful.

"does anyone else's mom have the apple peeler/corer/slicer?" Well, I have one and it's great! My go to is the slap chopper. I can use a knife, but there's something very satisfying about whacking the heck out of a bunch of green olives to make egg salad. #2-gala apples are great.

Talking about the teacher gift, it would be such a cool idea if you did a couple soaps towards the end of the school year for teacher and helper gifts, coworker gifts

I love snapdragon apples! They are a newer type of apple and kind of hard to find. They are crisp and sweet like a honeycrip but have a hint of granny smith tartness.

Try ‘Sweet Tango’ it’s cross between ‘Snapdragon’ and ‘Honey Crisp’

Heck yeah my mom had one of those apple machines. It spiralized the apples too so we would bring like apple slinkies to school and our classmates were obsessed. We also have strawberry hullers and I 100% recommend because it saves so much of the fruit compared to cutting off the tops.

I’m the same with the cherry pitter. When it’s cherry season I’ll buy a bag every few days, so I feel like having a pitter is justified.

Pink lady apples are my favorite. They're the perfect blend of sweet tart and crisp. I love them with a sprinkle of Vietnamese cinnamon (which is spicier and sweeter than regular cinnamon, it reminds me of red hots) .

I don’t think I’ve ever commented on a video ever buuuuuut wanted to say I LOVE you, your family, and your videos! I look forward to watching your videos and I use that as my quiet “me time” with a coffee or a cocktail depending on how the day is going 🤣 Anywho, I haven’t even watched this video yet just wanted to say how excited I was for a 21 minute one 😍 love the long videos! You are seriously a ray of sunshine that is definitely needed in this crazy world. I appreciate you Katie! Stay safe ✌🏻 ❤️ 😊

This would be absolutely divine with some soap canes shaped like seeds (like a watermelon soap) in the middle to complete the 'apple cross-section' look! On the question of the day, I have a dohickey that is both a wire spatula and a pair of tongs made for easy flipping of grilled cheese. It's sooooo handy omg

I have a very well used apple peeler, corer, slicer! When it’s time to harvest the apple trees it gets used for hours. We do apple pies and freeze them for later. We do dehydrated apple slices w cinnamon or allspice. We can apple sauce and make apple wine. So, that little gadget gets a good workout during apple season. 🥰

Tip for finding good citrus fruits: the heavier they are the more juice they contain! Superfluous kitchen tool is a strawberry huller/tomatoes corer.

Gala apples. As a kid, though, Pink Lady. So sweet. Kitchen gadgets... a tool with the cross at the end that helps break up ground meet as it cooks. Never would have bought it for myself, but I find it very handy!

I just realized you say "I'm just gonna line this uuupp..." just like my piercer as she prepares to shove a piece of metal in my body. Similar tone, similar energy.
