I work at a grocery store and myself and a few coworkers had a mini party when we saw some pumpkin spice drinks and candy come in. We got a bunch of stuff on our lunches, split the total and all but RAN to the break room to enjoy.

"It serves as much function as beauty and magic ever served. They enhance your life and make the mundane things more tolerable." GIRL! I am very much a Type A "Get through my to do list before I can relax" type of woman and sometimes... a lot of times, I forget to look for the magic and whimsy in each day. Thanks for that reminder that not everything needs to be productive and serve a purpose.

Too early for Pumpkin Spice? No, friend. It's never too early for fall. Honestly, it's my favorite season (probably because I'm an October girl) and it always goes by soo fast. I long for crisp autumn mornings, especially since I can't deal well with heat. So yeah...Watching your video, seeing the fall vibes and your cute, delicious looking soap design was really, really soothing!

Yay! I am here to confess that there are always 4 bars of Royalty Soaps soap being used in my house at any given time (one by the kitchen sink, one by the bathroom sink, two in the shower). We also have liquid soap in those places...We must be soap people. Thank you for making these fun videos, Katie! My sister and I love watching them as much as we like buying, using, and gifting your soaps.

As a fellow homeschooling mom I think the way you're going about it is fantastic. At those ages you don't need to be heavy into academics with them. They learn as much through okay as they do through books and exercises. I love that you're including practical skills too. That's fantastic and it will help with learning math and reading and so many other things too.

Katie, I so agree that I love my 30s decade of life. I also got married and had babies in my 20s. So much joy in that season, but a lot of hard things as well when you’re trying to figure out how to balance all the things- being a mom, wife, work, etc. and making decisions that impact your family while also figuring out yourself! Something changed mentally for me, too when I turned 30 in that it felt like I was a real grown up😂 and being more comfortable in my choices, values, not following trends and investing into relationships that were mutual. Mental, spiritual and emotional health has been so much better and I’m so grateful ❤️ Cheers to another strong woman embracing their 30s!

A+ on making the point that some people need a little help to bathe. Not everyone is the same!
@NorseButterfly2 ай бұрын
As someone with some serious chronic illnesses, showering is part of a massive workout. My heart rate is triple digits for a minimum of 30 minutes. Having an esthetically pleasing soap that smells amazing helps! Also, Katie, are you looking forward to the first "cold front" here in Texas? Temps are dropping into the mid 80's next week! I'm soooooo excited!
@bjdefilippo4472 ай бұрын
I get it. It's something I can't manage most days. It's too painful, and I know I'll spend the next day or two recovering. My sister has a helper 3 days a week, but she's in the UK. Here, it seems SSDI doesn't see our disability the same way, so though the same disease caused us both to lose our jobs, only one of us gets any help. Sigh. At least I can look and and smell the lovely soaps!

Your analogy for comparing the straw to a garnish on food is spot on! I am also a soaper and I use a lot of detail, embeds, intricate designs in my soap. I had a customer who had purchased a number of soaps of mine for her partner who has autism, and they struggle at times to bathe and shower. She purchased a couple of bars from me for them as a Christmas gift last year, and she sent me messages about how her partner is now excited to bathe since getting my bars. They are now repeat customers. What seems like a simple task to some is daunting to others.

Homeschooling was the best decision we ever made! We switched in 2021, it's all my daughter has ever known and she's in 3rd grade now, and my son is now in 7th and he never wants to go back to brick and mortar school. I was horrible at math when I was in school and I'm learning it all right alongside him, it's so exciting. They're involved in so many more activities than if they had to spend six hours a day at the schools down the road! And they love being able to participate in my own crafting too, we experiment and just have fun failing and seeing where our imagination takes us.

When my kids were young, they were in the kitchen helping out, as they got older, we would have them pick out recipes that they would like to make. They would make it and serve it for dinner. It was always a family affair. At 25 and 28, they still love to cook and still make dinners for the family. Important to let them taste it and ask what flavors you taste and what you would add or take away from this recipe. Salty, sweet, unami, texture, all those things. Your children are so lucky to have you as a mom!!!!
