I'm in agreement with others, please leave your A/C on! Most times when creators say it's so noisy, i'm sorry, it's actually barely audible. Your health and comfort is FAR more important. And especially in Texas, we don't want you potentially making yourselves sick just to avoid some noise.

Agreed. Lots of ASMRtists apologise for background noise in their videos, but I never hear any and I always use headphones, and those people have SUPER sensitive mics. And even if we could hear the AC, it would just turn into white noise after a few seconds anyway.

I just want to say, thank you for not wearing makeup sometimes, weirdly even though I'm older than you (only by one year!), Seeing you not wear makeup really helped me with my own makeup journey where I barely wear it anymore. Mostly because I hated looking at my face without it. But seeing you be so happy and confident without makeup - on camera, in a time where it feels so difficult not to compare yourself to everyone you see online. It just feels magic. Like hey we're all normal, and this is what faces look like and that's cool. So yeah, thank you.

I know at first when I quit wearing make-up my face was a bit pasty looking because it was always covered from the sunlight, but it doesn't take long before the natural glow comes through and you'll wonder why you ever bothered in the first place. Also, I do use my soap on my face it is so refreshing and leaves my skin soft. I would never use anything else on my face now.

Thank you for not wearing makeup. I'm 62 and have to give makeup 3 years ago, because I'm so allergic to it , makes sore's on my skin around my eyes. So it's nice that you where encouraging, it's okay to not wear it on camera. Great video as always. Look forward to every Wednesday and Saturday.

Katie, hearing you are doing the beginner soap course makes me happy! I have been making soap on my own for about a year and launched an Etsy shop for it a couple months back. I have a Discord group that pitches soap design ideas/inspiration to me and some of them are thinking about getting into it and asked me where to begin. That's an overwhelming question, since there are so many things to mention and pass on knowledge of, so I am definitely forwarding your courses to them because I know you can do way better in pointing them along a road to success than I ever could! Your eyes stand out more without makeup. Crazy. Even though you look great with it too. I've struggled with acne more as an adult than I did as a teen. I'm 36 and still deal with it... it's gotten better since I've been using aveeno products.. only! But at night after washing, I use 51%IPA to pull out more dirt... then my anti aging night cream. So far I've been clear!!!!

Excited, excited, beyond excited!! I've wanted to make soaps and hand-pressed oils since I was 18... I'm 38. (Sometimes people really need a little encouragement to step out there and try) BUT! last month while still not having much support, I made my first melt-n-pour soap and I taught my son's and husband to make and design their own soap bars...It was AWESOME! They had a great time! I was busy with them I didn't even make my own. I can't wait to learn how to make real cold-process soap. Thank you!!

Not a surfer here. Grew up where the beaches were not pretty and Galveston wasn’t much of an improvement from where I am from. Not sure how we stumbled onto your channel but my 5 year old saw your video and spent a crazy amount of time one day watching your videos. I'm not that good at surfing, but I surf every year when we go to the OBX on vacation! It is the best feeling to pop up on the board and ride the wave in. Even when you fall flying through the air into the water can be quite fun. Where I live there are no waves, but I would love to be able to surf more often!

Hey Katie! I also suffer from bad acne, and I can totally relate to the no-makeup thing! I've started doing a whole face routine lately, from a Laline line, which include several dead sea products, and I find that it REALLY helps, like, within a few weeks, you see a notable change! The things I use are the Laline cleansing mousse, exfoliating face mask, mud mask, beauty mask, thermal mask, energizing mask, and a 24k Gold mask (but that's more for my need to feel fancy). Eitherway, I cannot recommend it enough. I can't wait to see your teaching series! Both me and my older sister started watching your channel recently, and it's been a blast! We've both gained an interest in soap making now, and it's a wonderful conversation starter! Thank you for giving me more reasons to talk to her!

Like some others commenting here, I recently decided to take the plunge into CP soap making - something I have wanted to do for so long but was ultimately encouraged to do because I found you! I think I have watched nearly all your videos (which sounds really kinda creepy, but it’s true) and after doing a bunch of research (and again, creepy, but have bought/watched pretty much everything you have recommended) I’m two batches in and I’m obsessed. Soap is this oddly perfect mix of all the things I love (art, scent, tactile craft, personalization...) and in these first few batches I learned a lot...but kept whining to my husband “I wish Katie would do some more tutorials.” AND NOW YOU ARE GOING TO. It’s like you heard me down here in SE Texas :) Thank you for being the kind of person who gives me hope for the future.
