I feel like jax is mostly an AA champ so having botrk is better for dmg on Autos so no need to rely on abilities that needs mana and sunderer for heals on small fights to sustain and do more autos

You want to be tanky with Jax so I mostly build bruiser items. Your damage is still high with Divine sunderer and the blade of the ruined king passive. If you go AP you are too squishy.

Runnans is a pretty bad item overall. You can get it when the enemy has a lot of melee champions, otherwise you rarely take advantage of the passive.

bcs of this: -first 2/3 itens are the core itens of the build. 1st is for extra tankiness and damage (more hp and more damage bcs of the effect of the item) 2nd is for the vampirism and atk speed (he is a melee autoattack champion, so it gives more atk speed and sustain in fight with the healing of vampirism effect) blue boots bcs of ap resistance and specially bcs of less cooldown on enemy stuns and cc habilities (they take less time) 3rd if because jax is a split pushing champion. his effect makes you dealing extra damage to turrets pushing easier -the last itens are situational jax you want him to tank some damage (while he deals true damage) twinguard is always a good option for tanky fighters, bcs it provides resistance to ap and ad (you are more tanky) he went riftmakers next bcs looks like jax scales with extra ap (idk jax habilities so idk how this happens) you can change things depend on enemy composition squishes trinity force good option too much ad damage---> go for ad armour enemy carry has vampirism and healing ---> go for antiheal itens and so go on. basically read your itens habilities and select whats the better for each situation (never played jax btw, but this is kinda what i do with my mains)

When specific situations come up like the ezreal game I do go over builds more, but in 80% of games you just go the cookie cutter core build, like I did this game.

Grasp is the best rune for jax for every situation until it gets nerfed. You already win long trades, and good players will only do short trades vs Jax and grasp makes those trades better.

How is jax a good counter against ornn? This game was won because this guy probably first times ornn. Literally w jax's stun. Q - E -W if he stuns and you win all automatically. Jax has no long range poke, has to commit.

Jax is great against tanks (except malphite) because he does consistent DPS while being too tanky to die to burst. He also forces ornn to constantly defend turrets so he can’t join his team.
