Royce, I misheard you the first time & replayed track again to hear the line properly. Ms. Baartman story saddened me but happy I know it now. The Eric Cartman reference to cartoon (South Pk.) was genius.

"Black woman want to be built like cartoon characters. Eric Cartman. That is a striking resemblance to Sarah Baartman." As a proud South African and a fan of Royce Da 5'9, I find it amazing that he used a historical figure (from my country of birth) in his artistic reference of how black women (I.E. Instagram models) today would do butt implants for the purpose of getting vain validation and money on social media. Prostituting themselves for likes and views quite frankly. The irony or juxtapose in all of it is Sarah Baartman was a Khoisan woman taken out of her homeland by her White oppressors, all for the purpose of comically parading her body throughout Europe in a manner that violated her human dignity. Hence the title "Upside Down". Our perspectives of what is right or wrong in life have become distorted nowadays. This was done against her will mind you (by virtue of being enforced to slavery). Just some historical reference for y'all to understand, whilst breaking down that bar. Thank you for the music and much respect Royce🙏👏 #Genius

I've never seen sobriety affect creativity in such a positive manner. Royce has always had top notch rhyme skemes and flow, but his subject matter has been elevated 10 fold. Ever since PRhyme 1 it's been nothing but up hill for this guy.

As a recovering alcoholic and hip hop head I love the example that Royce is. He was already dope but he as got even better with each year of sobriety. He is now legitimately top tier status. Plus he taught himself to make beats and they are also top tier. He is a great example of what is possible with sobriety.
