Thank you for the video! Love to hear your unique knowledge and experience with plants and how they interact in the garden. You've helped me to look at my gardens through another lense.

Thanks so much for the tour. The only thing I would love to see would be if you could include the common names of the plants in your presentations. The botanical names are complex and, for me, hard to remember.

To be honest, I only work with latin names. I know it can be confusing but a simple google search will give you the common names, of which there can be many for a single plant.

I would love to spend a few... ok.... many!! hours just slowing rambling through your gardens, especially during different times of the year. Each time would be a new experience with what's in bloom! I really enjoy the "haphazard" way things just pop up to surprise the viewer. Love all the creatures hanging out!!!

That native petunia is so quaint. Who knew? I’d like to track down seeds. There’s no nursery like yours around here unfortunately.

Check out Prairie Moon Nursery(Winona, MN)online for Wild Petunia-Ruellia seeds. I might add that another native, Callihoe bushii or Bush's Poppy Mallow, is another low grower, with a long bloom time.

@@cindydamrow1031 Thanks. I was on their site yesterday and found ruellia along with far too many other things I’d like to grow 🙈

I've never heard of succisella inflexa. What a name! LOL. It looks like a pinchusion flower, i.e. scabiosa? Also, is the Echinacea Sombrero Adobe Orange a first year plant or did it overwinter for you? I have found that a lot of the new hybrids are not winter hardy in my Zone 5b, NW Illinois garden.

So many different plants, amazing! My main thought is, that I always enjoy learning about plants from you. Last month my daughter and I drove up from Illinois, we enjoyed Northwind so much! After watching so many of your videos I knew I had to visit eventually. My daughter doesn't do any gardening, but she sure enjoyed your display garden in all its summer glory!

That hemerocallis looks like Chicago Apache but I don’t think it gets that tall.

Thanks for the tour of your “laboratory”. I knew you were a mad genius. I’ve been rereading your book and was interested in the Cassian Schmidt gravel technique. You said that you had Created a gravel garden in that style. My question is whether you’ve done any videos demonstrating that method and shown the results? Would technique work in a Colorado garden that might get 15” of precipitation?

He's done a video on this. Just search among the vids. As I remember, he just tells quickly how it works - putting the gravel and letting come through the plants. You'll learn more in listening to the mediterannean conference here Cassian Schmidt argues with Olivier Fillippi (who get's it all wrong) but best are still the German books by C.S.
