So wonderful. Insightful. Pause. Take stock and observe. Take time to get it right. Forgive the scabiosa from 10 years ago that are now thugs, and the frickin’ euphorbia. I will take a deep breath and pull. And imagine what comes next.

I feel like each one of these isn't just a garden lesson but a life lesson too. "Expectations sometimes shortchange us." Thanks, Roy! Excited for the video later in the year about growing seedlings under a screen.

I love your philosophy of growth as a gardener! So many of my gardening friends and family tell me their gardens "are full" and " they are finished". Like you, I am always thinking of possibilities to create a closer harmony with nature and express my creativity with plants. Thank you for enriching my gardening life, Roy!

So much of the wisdom here is about life just as much as about the garden ❤

Thank you, Roy! I have absolutely fallen in love with gardening. I think in part because as you said, plants move at their own pace. I adore relinquishing control and feeling like a partner - or a facilitator. Most of all I love the life a garden brings (to the gardener and the land). This video was hugely helpful for me. I’m going to watch all your other ones in between long days puttering outside!

solution orientated individuals are rare, most tend to just fixate on issues and expect others or money to do the work. thank you roy

I hope the black walnut complainer wasn't me.....but it may have been me. I didn't mean to be so negative and self-defeating. Thank you so much for addressing the walnut "opportunity." ❤

Looking forward to your video on growing seeds under a screen. Would that be a good outdoor project for school children who want to replace their sod with sedges? How do we get rid of the sod?

My concern is getting it right so I don’t have to do it again.🌷💚🙃

Such a great talk Roy. I can see how this encourages me as a visual artist as well. It is also very encouraging to know that it does take time to know a plant. Thank you

Hello Roy! New to your videos. What did you mean by saying nothing grows on black walnut?!
@RoyDiblik5 ай бұрын
Some believe plants struggle beneath black walnut trees. I haven't really found that to be the case. There are many variables in such a situation (shade, soil, moisture, etc) so it's difficult to definitively conclude the black walnut is the problem.
