Oh my gosh they actually started singing the 'Tek Nova - Towa Tei' (the song Dilla sampled to create the masterpiece) in Japanese (from 5:08). This is AMAZING!

WHAT IS GPING ON HERE?!!!! I've listened to the Miguel Atwood Ferguson tribute to Jay Dee a zillion times. What is that awesome cover with extra drums , chunky bass and all?!!!! Who covered that?!!!!! See, Dilla was a genius. Then all his legacy is a Pandora box where every cover, alternate take, remix is an open door to a new world. True respect here!

This is hip hop, j Dilla shared his gift with us and unfortunately left the earth with it. All this noise that's on the radio like drake and other untalented so called artist are spreading ignorance to the world, we need to bring this music back from the dead so we can teach kids that real music comes from the heart and not from a paycheck. Dilla made music, music wasn't his job, it was his life. Rest In Beats James Yancey.

@@gbiggz_na Amen to that. Like jazz hip-hop is life but come on, it's not like everything else is garbage. There are tons of people out there today, and they're doing a ton of different styles. It's whack to say that all of modern hip-hop is wrong and lost its way, you guys just have to look for more than 15 seconds and see that it lives on.

@@gbiggz_na Drake? Huh? What? he doesn't even write his own music let alone make his own beats

calling drake, apart of the evolution of hip hop, as noise is completely dismissing the importance of j dilla to music as a whole. like anything, music and hip hop will evolve and we must appreciate it in all its forms. i know dilla did

Dj Towa Towa from Deelite was where I first heard this joint . Before I'd ever heard of Jay Dee or TCQ's version. So whilst I accept the fact that no one flipped a sample quite like Dilla (except perhaps Madlib ) and TCQ are dope as fuck. Towa was grooving this joint before both of them , so respect due to him .
