Ty for this video. I just installed a 48v 105 eco battery on my Rxv and without this video I wouldn’t have figured it out. Knowing what to do with that blue wire is the most important thing in the install. everything else is pretty easy to figure out. 🤙🏼

@@scottwood3235 - The Blue Wire is a safety Device that won't let the Cart Move when its being charged. You have to bypass the Blue wire or the Golf cart, or it will not Work. You have to Cut and attach the Blue wire to the positive Side of the Lithium Battery.

Great info. I may have missed it in the video, but how do you avoid brake lockup when LV/HV occurs? I've read there's a way to wire the BMS so the cart comes to a gradual stop instead of locking up the brakes?

I’ve heard of people moving the resistor. Other batteries leave room at the top of the charge cycle to account for regen faults

Great video. Can you use the old original RXV charging Receptacle with the RXV 3 prong Triangle Plug with a Lithium Charger? Some people say you have to change the original Receptacle..

Is there only the one wire with the inline 2 amp fuse that comes from the usb charging port? Can that go to the fuse block at the 12 volt converter or is it powered differently?

The cost and weight reduction distance I was not needing the weight I need to pull cars to shop . Price is the other issue 105ah battery is to much still until we get a price like closer to 1500 for a kit including charger I don’t see it selling as much . Now warranty is 5 years but I am on 6 years on lead acid batteries . I have had to replace one battery so far . Now I have no distance but it pulls cars fine .

I don't see batteries this size going down in price. You can stay under $2k with a 56ah battery, but for all the advantages with a 45mile runtime, the 105 is nicely priced at $2,650.

Yes, there is only 48v at the lithium battery terminals, so there is no option to only put accessories to 1 or 2 batteries like lead acid. For this reason, almost all companies supply the reducer in their installation kits. I recommend Eco or Bolt.

Is there any disadvantage to running all of the wires from the old charging port to the new lithium battery? I don't plan on switching out the charging port but am a bit nervous about cutting wires as I'm not all that mechanically inclined. Thanks for the videos!

Have you had any issues with the regen system? I'm having issues. Stock controller, Stock motor, lined with 22 inch tires.

What about the regenerative braking? Does it affect this battery? Did you disable that system? My RXV lithium conversion is not going well my cart shuts the battery completely off The battery. Thanks for the video it was very helpful 👍

Sorry to hear you're having issues. I would assume the problems happen when you're at full charge. I haven't had to resolve this issue for anyone, but I have heard the issue can remedied by moving the temperature sensor farther away from the coils. I recommend doing some online research. None of the RXVs I have done have had this issue.

Yes The battery I bought from big battery (48HSK) was not compatible with my cart. The BMS could not handle the higher voltage of this cart it could be a bad BMS but the company was horrible to work with. I bought a RoyPow 48 volt and it’s freaking awesome. This battery resolved all of these issues.

I just bought and installed a 48v 105ah Eco Battery in my Ezgo RXV and I used this video to help me install it. The install is exactly the same as this. The only difference is the battery mount it different but it’s pretty easy to figure out. You just need to drill 2 holes in your tray to mount your bottom mounting bar.
