Nina, I wanted to answer that question about Raja’s performance. The thing with her is that she’s done well (besides the girl groups and 2nd design challenge), but she hasn’t really done amazingly. I didn’t agree with her win for the acting challenge (a top 4 mention, sure) and her win in the draguation speeches was so clearly edited since Ru was gasping for air and forcing her win before Raja even said a word. I’d say she’s deserved a top 4 shoutout spot in like half the challenges, but never truly a win. Her runways are sometimes stellar, but also overhyped because she’s the OG fashion queen of drag race and because she’s so seasoned and respected. They haven’t all been THAT great. Her ball creation and the veil runways were top-tier, though.

You aren’t alone Nina, many people think season 9 was the last classic season. Ot was the only season where the lip sync smackdown twist actually felt cool and every twist from the on had felt dumb or predictable. It felt like the show was becoming elevated being on VH1, having Gaga, etc. but then somehow it all tumbled downwards. I think they realized they can still make a profit without putting effort toward the quality like they likely did for season 9.
