"RPG Developer Bakin" is a game creation tool that combines ease of use and high features, making it easy for anyone to create games inspired by "your world". It includes a map editor that allows you to create maps as if you were playing a game, an event creation system that controls the game by simply arranging panels with functions, a database that provides detailed character status settings, advanced screen effect settings that can dramatically change sceneries, and many other tools. Graphics and sound assets are also provided, so you can start creating "your game" right away.
You can now register your wishlist on the Steam page. The various functions of "RPG Developer Bakin" will be introduced on the official website and SNS as they become available.

It's super interesting! However, since this engine can use 3D Background, why don't go all the way and make it support 3D Character too? That way we can have 2D Character or 3D Character as we choose

I just bought the Bakin and SGB Bundle this winter sale... and I just freaking LOVE it! :D I was working on a Visual Novel with a friend and now there's no way I will not turn it to an rpg :) Thankully there's a lot of tutorial already here on yt.

So as someone who had used RPG maker in the past, I always struggled with getting the creation I wanted, mainly be it for lack of 3D assets and the addons required to use such things made the overall process long and painful. But having a new engine dedicated to such craft? Never in my life did I need something so bad and never known till I received it. I look forward to early access tomorrow!

Looks great! The scene at 0:40 really caught my eye. Is there support for curved or triangular floors? So that maps, specially nature maps, look less "tiled / squared"? Either way, this looks incredible!!!

I have been looking for a more powerful tool than rpgmaker and easy to use with an intuitive U.I but I could not find one to my liking. While I was waiting for the new version of rpgmaker recently announced, I found Bakin. I fell in love at first seen. I definitely will buy this tool when it comes out.

I also noticed when pausing at 0:59 the event switch shows that events can be triggered by a switch. Can they also be triggered by variables too?

This reminds me of RPG Maker 2 for the PS2, but infinitely better! That saying, I prefer my 2D Tiles for the World instead of 3D, but this is a cool alternative engine to make RPGs. It allows like Coding or Plugin support like Entertain RPG Makers do, right? Also, does it have a built-on Sprite Maker or something? Or can I use anything and import it?

We support the creation of plug-ins, but have only released a small portion of them as yet as the scope of creation. Materials such as 3D/2D/particles/sound/movies can be imported. There is a sprite tool that combines 2D materials and adds movement. We are still in the early access stage, so we will be adding more features in the future. You don't have to be able to program to use it. But if you want to do more than what we offer, you can do it by creating a plugin using C# script.

I cannot wait to dump hundreds of hours into this program... I'm still on cloud nine over the map assets, lighting, and other elements I've seen that I've wanted in a program like this since SGB.
