I know this was published over 5 years ago but the whole series has been a joy to go through so far. Thank you Venthros. I have just completed Tutorial 7 but Natalie follows me around. I cannot see any mistakes in what I have done, gone over it many times, watching the tutorial and checking my actions against yours. Any help suggestions from anyone would be of a great help. These have been super helpful for my little mini-game I'm making until I decide to put money into the full version, but I'm getting into a bad habit of following what the tutorial video teaches maybe halfway through then getting side-tracked into something else. I just spent 2 days (and still going) changing character portraits, description's, ability names and functions, weapons, armor and more after finishing making a short quest to recruit my first party member. In short, I think I know how to work most of the stuff the later tutorial's will teach and maybe more but nonetheless, these are very helpful, I'd still probably be looking at menu's going "Uhh, what does this do? What does that mean?" if I never started watching these.

Took me a while to realize what creating a self switch and a new (second) event page did. So here's for anyone else who doesn't get it at first. When the event begins on the first page, the self switch doesn't exist so the second page isn't activated. The self switch will be turned on at the end of the first page, so next time the event runs it will ignore the first page and run the second page (because the second page's condition is for the self switch to be "A") instead. Because the second page is blank, the event does nothing and the character doesn't show up. This works for me, but let me know if I'm not understanding it correctly or fully.

So I made the cut scene and it works except the animation of her running toward me. She just starts talking to me about 4 seconds after I leave the inn. I have triple checked matching your settings exact and still cant get her to appear. She does appear after the conversation and becomes part of my party but no running to me animation.

Followers ON is very difficult to script around as you have to disable it & have an event with the actor pop-ins/out right as the the follower on/off in event is toggled otherwise it has a graphical error or duplicate which is very annoying I've barely managed to create my first companion scene to have a flawless transition from following to event move to spot at x location & back.

Hey there! When i make my cutscene, i simply want to have the npc walk to my character, once i do that, he walks to my character, uses the text i set him to use, and then he continues to walk...? How do i fix this?

I am trying to make a cutscene where I enter a room and some talking happens and then a boss battle initiates, but whenever i try to enter the room it shows me the room but my character is not there and nothing activates. For example I have an event set to autorun that makes a character invisible and he reappears later, but when it shows me the room he is standing there as if I never actually entered the room and the autorun doesn't activate. I have looked at all of the event's settings and nothing stands out as incorrect.

for some reason I had to make an event in the room before, which I made an enemy, that switched the event in the next room on and after that it worked fine. I'm not sure what caused the original switch to not work, but it doesnt really matter as long as it works now ;)

I am very new to this, and im trying to make a semi-dramatic cutscene. so far i have a darkened intro cutscene that transfers to a different scene, with dialog and movements. everything is working flawlessly until i get to the commands that add switches and the party member. he basically walks right up to me does not end up joining the party, and the whole scene ends up freezing (no player movement ability either). i did everything in the video yet, it doesnt seem to be working properly. any ideas?

There is a section of the event where the event moves up. How would you make it so that the character only moves out of the way if they are interfering with the move route?
