I have been watching all your videos so far. They are the best. I tried watching so many other videos and they moved too fast and didn't explain things well. You really do an excellent job of teaching how to execute this game. Thank you so much for doing this.

I know this was published over 5 years ago but the whole series has been a joy to go through so far. Thank you Venthros. I have just completed Tutorial 7 but Natalie follows me around. I cannot see any mistakes in what I have done, gone over it many times, watching the tutorial and checking my actions against yours. Any help suggestions from anyone would be of a great help. Just seen the very end of this video. It shows why she follows me around. Thank you.

These have been super helpful for my little mini-game I'm making until I decide to put money into the full version, but I'm getting into a bad habit of following what the tutorial video teaches maybe halfway through then getting side-tracked into something else. I just spent 2 days (and still going) changing character portraits, description's, ability names and functions, weapons, armor and more after finishing making a short quest to recruit my first party member. In short, I think I know how to work most of the stuff the later tutorial's will teach and maybe more but nonetheless, these are very helpful, I'd still probably be looking at menu's going "Uhh, what does this do? What does that mean?" if I never started watching these.

I've tried everythin i could think of but when i test it the actor either isnt there or continues to be there after I'm done talking to him/her.

Is there a particular reason you had to made a separate event to control the Natalie cutscene? I tried putting all the logic on the Natalie event itself, and that seemed to work fine.
@mica642097 жыл бұрын
Thx for the helpful. But how do you make to like you have to interact with her then let her to join you? When the event says " Someone has joined the party" (example), when i come to check if she really following, theres no one following you.

Hi! I was just wondering if there was a way you could make an NPC look like they are running out of the door in a cutscene. Thank you for responding :D

Can this also be used in a way that a cutscene starts with more than just one sprite standing next to one another?

I don't know whether you discontinued this series or not but I'm gonna ask anyway: Let's say i have an event where you go up to the person and talk to them. There is a section of the event where the event moves up. How would you make it so that the character only moves out of the way if they are interfering with the move route?

I am very new to this, and im trying to make a semi-dramatic cutscene. so far i have a darkened intro cutscene that transfers to a different scene, with dialog and movements. everything is working flawlessly until i get to the commands that add switches and the party member. he basically walks right up to me does not end up joining the party, and the whole scene ends up freezing (no player movement ability either). i did everything in the video yet, it doesnt seem to be working properly. any ideas?
@DraconiusDragora6 жыл бұрын
Problem; When making a cutscene, in example, making a character go up, it process keeps on being repeated. And without any -Stop Event- within the options is there a way to cause a stop for the event so it can do what it is made to do?

I dont know if you still look at these, but I also did another tutorial about cutscenes of yours and now my natalie character isnt visible during the cutscene. Is there an easy way to fix this? its so frustrating!

I need help. I made a cutscene/intro and used pictures instead of having the camera move or anything like that. I want to make it go from a picture to the starting playable scene but how would I do it?
@LeafStorm149 жыл бұрын
Anyone know if you can simply speak to a player and they would join your party and vice versa? For example: like the Persona series. You speak to one of the members and you can ask them to join your party. I don't want them to disappear, but I still want them to follow me in different areas of the map. When I would talk to them, a different choice would allowing me to remove them from said party. I'm not too good with scripts, so I'm wondering if I can do this all with events.
