The idea behind making these smaller tiles has made for a great series. I really enjoyed watching how you developed the overall structure but still made each tile unique.

Thank you! Although the tiles aren't truly modular they do work in a few different configurations.

This has been a fantastic series, big thanks!!! And yes, I'ld love to see something Scifi, something neo-modern that could be used for Star Wars or Cyberpunk. Something very Bladerunner, please?
@ravenstead4 ай бұрын
I just watched bladerunner again for inspiration. The city build will get more run down and slum-like as we spiral out for the central tower.

Honestly, just stumbled across your videos. They're pretty amazing. Good work on this Hidden Valley said. I like it a whole lot. You're asking for suggestions for future bills. And if you've ever played a game called zona alpha, I think it would be really awesome to see you build a modular board for that game. It's a lot of fun. It's set in near future times where aliens leave a bunch of junk on earth and then they leave and we have to go investigate it, so weird stuff happens so if you want to look it up. It's called zona alpha to brush and game. It's really a lot of fun.

"Zona Alfa: Salvage and Survival in the Exclusion Zone" looks really interesting, I like the vibe! I will definitely take a deeper dive into that genre! Thanks for watching!

Hey David! I haven't chimed in in a while but you mentioned maybe SciFi? I would love to see your spin on some dystopia/post apocalypse stuff, maybe complete with some cannibal minis. Bunkers, metal sheds/forts, maybe some contraption to collect rain water, the possibilities are endless! Have a great one.
@ravenstead7 ай бұрын
Brilliant! I started another concept notebook, I have one for fantasy builds and another for sci fi and cyberpunk stuff. I love the variety in this hobby so I think will be making builds for a broad range of genres. Thanks for the suggestions!

I’ve really enjoyed this series, would you consider doing something like a ruined fortress next?

How about something post-apocalyptic? I bet the weathering/blending techniques could work well to grime up some buildings.

I do have a Starfinder game I want to start. Maybe I can create a campaign around a colony planet that got nuked from orbit during a bigger skirmish! Gimme those ideas! I’m trying to get started with some terrain building for my DnD campaign. Would you mind sharing the dimension you use for things like: bricks and planks?
@ravenstead4 ай бұрын
It's such a fun hobby! The samer the bricks and planks are the more detailed your builds will appear. For stones I usually go with 1x2 cm at the largest. The planks I cut at random sizes but mostly no wider than 1cm by 3 or 4 mm thick. If you are texturing the planks deeply with a wire brush you may need a thicker piece of foam. Then there is the old stand by coffee stir stick but I mostly use foam. Good luck with your builds!
@antonlundstrom92744 ай бұрын
@@ravenstead Thanks for the help. I’m gonna pick up some supplies this week and give it a go. In terms of acrylic paint should that be matt or shiny?
@ravenstead4 ай бұрын
@@antonlundstrom9274 I just get the cheap craft paint for the most part. I use minwax satin polyurethane spray as a final protective coat so that gives a little shine to the builds.
