I think FKJ & Masego are self taught musicians , the talent in that room is incredible.

The best part about this song is that it really just is a couple guys just having an improvised jam session.

I appreciate that you appreciate the craft. We are referred to as live performance artists, basically a one-man band. I drag out my sequencer my keyboards my mixer wire my own sound and then perform music that I created. I'm glad there's people that are able to appreciate it because it is a hell of a lot of work.

Playing one instrument is a challenge all on its own, but playing multiple instruments and then record AND mix it all together for masterpieces?! Mad respect

FKJ (Vincent Fenton) was trained in sound engineering for film. So he’s pretty savvy in the tech he uses. But he’s an amazing instrumentalist who features on a few Fender sponsor videos (his main guitar and bass). He uses Ableton live for the looping and arranging. You should check out his Live in Paris at La Fee Eletricite concert as well as Ylang Ylang EP live from his home studio in Bali. Dope.

Brother thank you for your breakdown. When someone who understands music production takes the time to explain the finite details that make a musical piece unique, it should be respected. Thank you.

The device that Masego is using is an RC-505. It's used a lot in beatbox competitions in the loopstation category but many musicians are also using it to loop some stuff.

The "Vocal sampling" is done on a LOOPER - Boss RC - 505 MK 2. (Masego) The program board FKJ uses in allmost every performance is the APC 40 MK 2 for ableton. (i have both and they are absolutely awsome)

Hey really enjoyed you doing this song. A new album just came out "An Evening with Silk Sonic". The band leads are Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak they do a amazing job on this album all in 70's style R&B it is so good. Even if you don't react it, it is worth listening to, they set the album up like a live set. Hope you enjoy

I like and appreciate the epic stank face you made at 17:02 - 17:03 😂👍🏾. And just in case you don't know what "making a stank face" means: A stank face is the expresive face a person makes when music they are listening to at that moment emotionally touches them in the feels on a deeper level.

Just discovered this channel, not sure why you didnt just make a separate playlist on your main channel for these types of videos, but anyway, I love these types of video reactions where you react to the actual musicians and musicianship happening in the video, rather then reacting purely to the musical composition and audible side of things.
