As an outsider I get the impression that almost every incarnation of gundam is "pretty divisive in the fan base". I tried to get into gundam a while back after IBO, which I enjoyed a lot, finished airing and apart from some short OVAs I couldn't find anything gundam fans seem to agree on is a must match.

But i should specufy since i diddnt why ZZ was divisive since zeta was a dark series like not edge but zeta was was when tomino was depressed and since tomino was depressed he made series dark. But in ZZ he wasn't so ZZ starts way lighter and happier comparatively and theb later became more series so some haye the beggining of ZZ

@@shadowfighter1234567 Yes, and even then I still can't call it an ARPG. Kingdom Hearts, Tales of, FFXII, SMT Raidou Kuzunoha: These are action RPGs, they're still very obviously RPGs. NieR: Automata is not. It's a hack and slash with a level count. There really isn't a lot of RPG in it.

Eva episode 8 is quite possibly my least favorite of the entire series. I might even prefer magma diver to it. 25 and 26 in D tier.... digi digi digi you sweet summer child. End of Eva is just episode 25 and 26 if they were made to pander to populist tastes.

Hello, creator of the Eva episode tier list here. I must inform you that you have failed the test, and what you should have done was expand upwards above S. Also episodes 2, 4, 15, 16 and 24 are far and away some of the best episodes of the show and you did kinda get it right by saying EoE is sort of in a tier of its own. Holy shit. EoE is the GOAT here, but 25 and 26 are masterpiece level to me. They are beautiful cinema, and I really don't see the rushed nature (even though they were rushed), they feel like a natural progression of the show imo.

Hmm, I find the "Angel of the week" Eva episodes a lot less interesting than the second half. The series owes a lot to Episodes 15 (The date with Kaji) and 21 (The flashback) for greatly expanding the story and intrigue.

If there is one game on this list I'd recomend you to play it's the Witcher 3. Even though the combat is nothing special (typical modern ARPG), the story is amazing and the world is far better than any other open world I have ever seen, it is so detailed and feels so alive! It is my second favorite video game, after Dark Souls 3. I do think the tier list misses a ton. You mentioned the Nippon Ichi games, but also the Idea Factory games are missing, the Piranha Bytes games, a ton of non FF or DQ Square Enix releases, old titles like Elder Scrolls 1-3, Wizardry, Ultima, Diablo and Diablolikes, Shadowrun, Secret of Mana, tons of tales games, Phantasy Star games....i could go on and on

Not really. They have very different aims, though they're both directed by Ryosuke Takahashi. Dougram is the first successor to original Gundam in the real robot genre and goes much further in fleshing out the politics and economics of the conflict. VOTOMS on the other hand is less about the conflict and more about a soldier's relationship to war.

Skyrim may have terrible quests, and gameplay, but the visual design of at least the open wilderness is quite possibly the best in any video game ever made, and at least makes it D tier, if the main quest focused more on the intrigue going behind the scenes I’d put it at C tier.

Its strange how you have this idea the "other SMT games" are more grown-up than Persona. They're all made for teenagers first and foremost, the only difference is Persona isn't apocalyptic, so its harder to forget the player character is 16 (Strange Journey/DDS being the rare exceptions). If its a question of difficulty Persona 3 is one of the harder games in the series as well (2 in comparison is one of the easist games Atlus has ever made). The main series fans also have comparatively little issue with 3. It's only after the release of 4 a noticeable divide was made between the two "communites".

Dragon Age: Origins, the first of yours "Dragon Age: Inquisition", is very good and definetely a strong A or S tier. I struggle to find Bloodborne an RPG, RPG became a generic term lately, only because you have upgradable stats it shouldn't make a game an RPG. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines has excellent writing but it's flawed in many ways, but I doubt you'll ever play it since you couldn't even manage to install the controller mod for Mass Effect...

You know, the only part of the eva ep ranking I disagree with is ep 8 and 9, at the time, it was at that point that I was genuinely confused why Eva was touted as one of the best anime ever made and I really did not care for Asuka (I grew to like her). It's very possible I love those eps on a rewatch, I should really get to that. Regardless, Eva = 9/10, EoE = 10/10

In the cases where he gives justifications they can be interesting (if you happen to care about that sort of thing) but for many of the videos he just ranks things without really talking about them, those are at best a time waster. I think he does them almost out of compulsion to convey his thoughts, I also like to think that he doesn't want to let down the people that suggest he do them but this is just me projecting.
