Looks like a really great package on that Disco. Would love to see some more on the stage 3 heads. I just picked up a set of heads from the junkyard for a port job. Haven’t done anything like this before but excited to learn.

It staggers me how LR got away with doing (not) such a shoddy job of unfinishing the 4.6 when they stretched the V8 out both in terms of engineering hardware and fuel system set up.

Great work as always. I have a question regarding my ‘99 RR P38 Thor. My condenser fans run all of the time from key on, to about 5 seconds after key off. I have checked fuse box, all relays, and both pressure switches on A/C lines, all check out. I have also tested the coolant temp sensor, which is also fine. The fans are definitely commanded ON by the ECM. My question now, why would the ECM command these fans on? Is it possible that the Motronic was programmed to always run these fans, maybe because of region/market (the car is a GCC spec/United Arab Emirates). No idea what else to troubleshoot..

Hi. Its Rover V8's that we specialise in however that of course does mean that we see lots of P38 Range Rover and get involved with other aspects of them. The issue you have is not one I have seen here before so can not really comment however I believe the V8 ECU can control the air con fans for additional air flow so there could be an extra element here that needs investigating.

I have just watched this video from October and I'm sorry chaps..... my 4.2 Diesel V8 Cayenne would absolutely blow the Rover V8 out of the water. Then again, Rover technology is 40yrs+ out of date!
