@@JackedSunBeare every participant is given a number of points representing their skill level in Apex based on a bunch of factor, every team have a maximum of points they can have so it limits who you can have on your team, Altare is only worth 3 points (selen is 10 points, the maximum due to being an ex Predator ranked player in the past) which is pretty low, that's why we call him a 3 points monster because he plays way better than someone with 3 points 👍 hope it wasnt too confusing I tried my best

​@@Mara_1337In Vsaikyo they assign people a value based on skill determined by rank. They have a hard cap on teams to make sure no one team is broken and just stomps everyone else. Altare is worth only 3 points because he doesn't play Apex however he is much more skilled than what hes worth because he has a lot of FPS experience. So they gave him the unofficial title of "3 pt monster" because hes only platinum but has the skills of a master level player

What's the TLDR version to why Altare is called "Mr. 3 Points"?

TLDR 3 points because he's not an APEX player (or is too low in rankings), but too skilled in fps to be "just 3 pts." Long version: There's a point system in the tournament based on a player's previous season's rankings and since he is not high up there, he is 3 pts. In comparison, selen is a former predator ranked player so she is 10 pts.+ while he isn't that used to the ways of apex, he is a pro-tier player in overwatch and csgo and his skills there transfers well into apex to the point that 3 points don't do his skills justice.

Iirc there is another reason why ppl from rpr's chat call him exacly "Mr. 3 points", it is a reference to one of pro players who is a sniper (don't remember the nickname) and is hella good so out of respect rpr's chat call him (this sniper) "Mr. T" and cause Altare is cracked himself and reminds ppl of Mr. T (they both are snipers), rpr's chat calls him "Mr. 3 points". If I remember wrong, please someone correct me.

To be able to participate a team should have not more than 21 points and not lower than 17 points. The points is basically a player's worth for a team. ShibuyaHal gives the points, he calculates the points from their apex experience (highest rank, teamwork ability, mechanical skill and etc) Selen is 10 points, Axel is 8 points and the team has to get another person worth 3 points. Altare who is new to Apex but great at FPS overall is a great addition and he is also worth 3 points. Making the team overall score to 21 and eligible to participate in the event. Hope this helps. @@THEGRAYGRIFFIN look at aqua from last tournament ( teamname startend ) she was ranked 10 points and is so good mechanically in apex that she went masters solo in random lobby with just map pings. In the tournament she was a duel monster and when she popped off.....people died. Point cap in that tournament was 18, towa was 5, aqua 10 and suisei 3, on the tournament day itself people had wisened up to be mindful of aquas teams agression and they ended up in 15-16 place part to bad luck/part people prepared against her....the scrims though dear god the graveyard of aquas victims. 1.500 -2.500k damage was her AVERAGE. want to see someone SOLO in a team fight on coms tournament from 18 to 4th place look no further....kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5PThGyKa9yVqq8.
