A mannequin and a computer is going to improve outcomes? Amazing how “cheaper for hospitals” is now the new Evidence Based Practice.

RQI does not benefit nurses. There is no situation where a nurse clicks a button to save a life.

When you have to bounce off the chest to get the computer to recognize that you are allowing the chest to recoil. What a waste of time.

Nurse Meg, prove to me that RQI actually improved the outcome of lives in your work environment. RQI does not benefit nurses and is a waste of time and money. A good nurse will know if chest compressions are adequate by looking at the patient and monitor. Nurses never forget how to do chest compressions EVER as we are the first on the scene of a code. For the amount of money that hospitals spent on this, there are nursing units that could have benefitted by having the hospitals invest that money in hiring more staff for patient care. It should always be about the patient and not the technology. Technology can never replace the touch of human hands especially when a patient is holding yours because they are scared.

Just another way to help managers NEVER see a floor or a nurse so they have more time for meetings.

Nurses need to learn skills to prevents from from calling rapid or code on patients. When you are short staff these horrible incidents happen along with nasty patient falls.
