Laos is the most bombed country on Earth thanks to America. Still there are bombs that were dropped during the secret war that is waiting to kill someone. Yet someone like this think its all worth because it means without it, they wouldnt be in America. Imagine how Laos would have been had America never meddled and never decided to drop bombs? Imagine if Laos had actual self determination without America intervening. Laos would look different today. Laos wouldn’t have been bombed to hell. People would have been more peaceful and prosperous. The problem wasn’t communism btw. It was because of a civil war in which America wanted to leave your country destroyed.

mostly building of schools, clinics, housing and factories, unfortunately Laos had little access to trade and is thus fairly poor, only being able to properly trade with china which wishes to exploit its resources akin to the west in africa, and Vietnam who is considered highest of friends. Laos was forced to adopt Market Reforms eventually which disfavour the workers and now Laos is a fairly peaceful stable country with very few pro-US guerrilas remaining, mainly after being abandoned by the CIA.

@DatuDanyal13 күн бұрын
No communism doesn't work because it is a political-economic theory that is contrary to human nature thought and promoted by a deranged drunkard German philosopher. Laos became all the more dirt poor after the Pathetic Lao communist take-over. Up to this point to totally communist had achieved its goal of economic prosperity and egalitarian society everywhere because as soon as communist took over, the local communist party became the elite political club mostly corrupt and untrained in economics. The supposed to be powerful communist model and paradise e.g. Soviet Union and China are now all largely capitalistic and China would not become what it is today if Deng Xiaoping didn't realize Chairman Mao's madness after finally the latter died (e.g. Great leap Forward, Cultural Revolution which are all colossal failures) and opened up China to the West and adopted the so-called "state capitalism" which is nothing but an indirect admission of communism's failure in China. Well, what about Soviet Union? It fell and is now divided into 15 independent republics mostly under autocratic governments and are still figuring our economic development ...
