This is because kerosene (1.44) and turpentine (1.47) has higher refeactive index than water (1.33). So it will refract more and hence will appear displaced more in kerosene and turpentine. 2. Three sirens ringing at 12min, 16 min, 20 min. Correct answer is 4 times. Lcm = 240. Total time = 972. So no of rings = 972/240 = 4.05 = 4 times. This question is ambiguous as to whether we should count 1st bell or not. 3. pH of solutions is 8. What happens on adding equal amount of water. Correct answer is pH will decrease. pH will never be 7 or neutral on diluting. 4.Solenoid question. Correct answer is maximum at centre and minimum at edges. This is because question did not mention that solenoid is infinitely long . Only in case of infinitely long solenoid will the field be same at all points. In a solenoid of fixed length it will be maximum at centre and half the value at edges. 5. Fleming right hand rule is not given ncert text. So could be out of syllabus. Ammonium Dichromate: Ans is Cromium oxide, Water Vapour and Nitrogen, in the given options best option is Cromium Oxide and Nitrogen. In the options Cromium oxide and water is also present but if you observe in the reaction water vapour(gaseous state) is formed not water(Liquid State) 3. Aquarium Fish: Answer would be decomposed by micro-organisms 4. Flemings Right Hand Rule: Flemings right hand rule is not used for a current carrying conductor it is used only to determine the direction of Induced Current (In a Generator) i.e if a conductor moving in magnetic field then emf is induced in order to find the direction of induced emf/current fleming's right hand rule is used. But in the options answer is not present so they shall drop this question 5. Manyakheta GK Question: Question itself is wrong because in the question they were asking Manyakheta was capital of which kingdom during 8th century, during 8th century it was not a capital of any kingdom, only during 9th century it was made capital by rashtrakuta dynasty. I have refered to many articles and blogs and found out that the Manayakheta city is made as capital only during 9th century. So the question itself is wrong and they shall drop this too
