If you got accepted to both at relatively the same time and both are included in your SP application, then yes you should show funds to cover the tuition for both programs.

Hi Rachel! For the study permit I see on the website that they don't request the english proficiency test to apply, at least at the beginning. I remember you said that they might ask for the IELTS test, or was it only for applying to the colleges? I don't have a IELTS, I did the Duolingo English test which is accepted in the College I'm applying to but I don't know if for the study permit it might be ok 😥

In US, there are 3 tiers of tuition: in-state; out-of-state; and international. In-state student tuition is the lowest. Foreign student tuition can be 2x or more of in-state student tuition.

My wife is currently in working in Manitoba a d now in the process of applying for PR. We are finding ways to fasten the process of entering Canada. I would wait until your wife apply for PR...that way you won't seem to desperate for your family to come to Canada. Also, tuition will be cheaper once they enrolled as a permanent resident vs international student.
