I was blessed to see and hear Pastor Bates do this song in person at a revival in Chattanooga a few years ago! The Holy Spirit and Tommy Bates blew the top off of that church!...in a good way of course.

i used to not likek this song very much till I heard Bro. Tommy Bates get ahold of it! Now I love it! I'd only wnt to hear him sing and play it though unless someone else can at least play it like he does! if he's got a sound track of it on ittunes, I might just get it and sing it myself

I know Pastor Tommy Bates. I used to go on mission trips with him to Mexico. He preached our youth camps on occasion. I have stayed in his house in Independence, KY. He is not the Oneness Apostolic belief. He is Pentecostal. He may be with the Church of God Cleveland TN group now. Not sure. I haven't talked to him in years. I love how he plays and sings this song. I am from the mountains in SE KY where this song came from. His roots are in this part of the country. He is heavily influenced by SE KY Pentecostalism.

Water baptism is a public declaration that we are following Jesus ... but if you are basing your salvation on a certain baptism you are putting faith in a work ... water don't save you ... the blood and faith alone in the saving grace of what Christ's and his finished work on the cross will save a sinner man amen 🙏

You missed what I was saying. Apostolics are Pentecostals. Not all Pentecostals believe the same, but when we say Apostolic, we are just using another word for being pentecostal, based in part on what Apostolics believe. Oneness, water baptism in Jesus' name, and baptized with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. Among personal dress convictions.

Lower Alabama the original kjv is full of watered down mistakes in translation from the original text. the word of God is much more powerful than you can imagine. I guess you prolly think pork is clean and the 'old' testement is pretty much useless. get caught up on the blessings of the truth.

There is a difference...Apostolics think they are the only ones going to Heaven...they believe their belief is the "truth" and everyone else is wrong and is going to wake up in hell. They are all Pentecostal but not all Pentecostal are Apostolic. They believe the that God, Jesus and Holy Spirit are all 1, not 3 different entities. Acts 2:38 Extremely strict and very judgemental in my experience but sincere christian people.
