True.But u know this manager guy was sole incharge there.He had to defend not only himself but lso his company&it's reputation .Suppose he admits the fault then the whole company's reputation wd be at stake. One way he was right also.After all it's a show room where people come&go,mayne sometimes under the pretext of just having a look at the car before "buying" it.And at the same time he was the most responsible person around.It happened in his premises ¬ at a public place like Rly or bus station.So he was partly responsible if not fully. Was this matter settled or not? But the customer who lost the money looked genuine.Maybe the cctv footage could be useful.

After seeing this, I'm really felt bad for that customer. He might not so aware of this thing, poor people usually don't think of that way. They even don't understand about the uniform concept. That fraudsters gain his trust and looted him easily. Though the reporters are harsh to the manager but they are also doing the job. Its simple case pack of awareness and clever scammer. It's good that we learn and understanding the situation. Hope that culprit get caught soon.

It can be easily seen that Manager is genuine. The cunning fraud/con man fooled both show room and customer. Manager got aggressive due reporters misbehaviour at beginning. And then when he calm downed he realised he has mishandled the situation and bringing bad name for his company. And its all pressure in his back of the mind because which he was in desperate mood. Do notice he explained the details of events in natural manner not crammed up fashion and he answered all the counter questions. His behaviour is perfectly normal in such situation.

Cash or cheque should be strictly presented at the showroom billing counter against a proper receipt and not to any other staff or outsiders. Do not leave the billing counter until you get a valid receipt of payment.

Always use cheque or digital payment method instead of cash.. always deal with showroom staff with uniform and ID card.. and submit money in form of cheque at cashier counter and take receipt immediately.. avoid cash transactions.. There is reason for digital India transformation..

Cash payment is an old school international traditional way of paying nothing wrong with it, you have to be cleaver but I don't trust digital online payment like Paytm Google pay etc... If your phone got hacked your online bank details cound go in wrong hands n your money can go wrong...
