The MLA pointed out that Kashmir has a Muslim-majority population (about 98%), suggesting that Owaisi’s party could gain significant traction in the region. By challenging for the CM post, the MLA suggested, Owaisi could test the political waters in a Muslim-majority area and see if his party can truly represent the interests of the Kashmiri people. 4. Criticism of BJP's Potential Use of AIMIM The MLA also criticized the BJP for allegedly using Owaisi and his party to further its own agenda. He argued that the BJP might be deliberately highlighting AIMIM’s Muslim identity to consolidate Hindu votes across India. By portraying Owaisi's party as a threat to Hinduism, the BJP could unite the Hindu community and strengthen its base.
