Really nice 3D presentation!

Thanks, only made the production of the video like 10x more difficult but I always like to learn a few things myself, when I do videos, so it's worth the effort 😅

i actually bought a Dynamic 12/24 like 2 years ago, because i was curious to have one. and it has been a very fun synth i did not know that there were editors though, and until now i programmed that thing by hand with the interface provided

This thing has a vibe! Nice score. Your jam is bangin' - hit!

That was very enjoyable and educational at the same time.

Making educational enjoyable sounds like a decent enogh slogan, thanks!

You succeeded where most of your teachers probably failed, so it is even more than decent :)@@rejectedsynths

I’d love to find an old un-built böhmer kit. Either way, this one sounds nice and its pretty awesome to have access to all parameters over midi. Well I’m guessing editing happens via midi?
@rejectedsynths Жыл бұрын
You can do it on the machine itself when you want, but it's cryptic as hell due to the tiny screen, so midi is the better option

I got one of these instead of a TX81 because I thought it sounded warmer. PS: This is the sixth synth you have revied that I also have😀

You've got a remarkable taste in synths! 👌

@@rejectedsynths Thank you... But I also have some utter rubbish synths as well, Not even AudioPilz would want!

Oh, lemme hear about them please! I dare say I've never met a real 'rubbish' synth yet.

@@rejectedsynths Shite Synth No1: Bliptronic 5000. Eight, uneditable, low quality, PCM sounds and Six Tempo's and an eight by eight step/note sequencer. Shite Synth No2: Alesis AirSynth. You wave your hands over it to controle it... There is no way to edit the sounds. I also have the AirFX too. Shite Synth No3: Chicargo Bass Synth MKI, Not that bad of an analogue synth, just that it just does bass and nothing else so it is bit of a one trick pony. Shite Synth No4: Gakken Miku,vocal singing synth, that you play with a stylus. It also containe a full GM synthe but you can only get to that with a computer.

@user-rr4rs3nt7y I have to admid, I've never heard of any of these, a qick Google search later I have to say, they actually are quite appealing to me 😁

This is so great. I have a chance to get the DSE 24 but can't find the editor anywhere. Can you kindly share a link? If it's gone off the web would you be able to share the installer of the editor?

Here you go: ctrlr.martintarenskeen.nl/ These panels need ctrlr as a host software, ctrlr is available for Windows, Mac and Linux: ctrlr.org/

How do you connect te editor?
@rejectedsynths11 ай бұрын
Just connect midi in and out between synth and computer. Worked like a charm for me. You might have to set up the correct midi interface on your pc in ctrlr if you have more than one connected.

Shock horror: The functionality of the Boehm 1000 series organs was EXACTLY the same as that of the Elka X 1000 which was indeed directly based on Yamaha technology. I assume the electronics will also have been the same. So some very extreme cross pollination was going on at the time. Nothing to be ashamed of since the X1000 is a very versatile 4 operator FM instrument, as this expander seem to be, but an expensive German organ containing second rate (only 4 operator and not 6 like the DX7) Japanese and Italian technology would have been a big marketing nono at the time. And so it came to pass. By the way: Elka’s EK/EM 44 instruments offered a completely programmable version of this technology. I own an EK 44. Talking about rejected synths!
@rejectedsynths9 ай бұрын
Good to know, I've had the EK 44 on my whish list for a while
@marcbrasse7479 ай бұрын
@@rejectedsynths The shortest way to describe it is as a 4-operator DX5. So 2 totally independent synth channels which can be split and layered. The latter enables detuning which tends to be the biggest weakness of DX sounds. Furthermore there is the overall warmer character then Yamaha’s own instruments (how very Italian) and a great stereo chorus as on the analog Elka EK/EM 22. Since I nowadays actually like 4 operator sounds better the 6 operator sounds since they tend to be purer I am not too concerned with that, which makes it the best incarnation of the concept as far as I am concerned, except the ultra rare DX1.

I had the much better looking ORLA Expander 24 variant. Sadly it does not start up anymore but have some Bohm 12/24 for parts.
