In this quest I show ya how to get the Asylum surgeon ring, how to complete all challenges, as well as how to get all of the xp rewards from the chests. One thing to note is that when you Peek a door, you don't have to wait for the ghost enemy to disappear, you can just enter right away. Peeking negates all damage from the ghost, the monster, and the purple cloud.

Fantastic guide. A quick note: When you first exit the room after collecting the large pipette, you mix up "west" and "east" walls in your commentary. I recommend an edit to avoid confusion. That being said, you guide got me to get my ring in 31 minutes! Very little stress or headache. Well spoken and paced. Thank you!!

This was the second quest I did off the list on my first day of playing, got through it with your guide and got the ring which I cant use yet. I'm not even Tier 1 yet so couldn't any chests. Anyone reading this in 2019 October: Make sure your arrow is facing north always so you understand every direction he says. Just pause the video every time he opens a door then follow on with what he does next. Pretty simple helpful guide!

Going through this quest without a walkthrough was such a hassle, until i gave up around minute 20 because i skipped the piano room hidden door and the skeleton inside that room. Anyways this quest deserved 3 points not 1. Thanks for the guide.

There was only one point where you said "North Western Door" but meant "North Eastern Door" that fouled me up for a second but I still was able to easily complete this with your guidance! Thank you for your Vid!!

This is a 'novice' quest but I honestly believe some of the master & grandmaster quests are easier (length != difficulty). Does anyone else find this really hard because the map/compass keeps rotating and it gets confusing? There is like 0 spare time to do the challenges and in the skeleton room, pink rooms or when the monster spawns the whole thing can be screwed up by the smallest bit of lag or one misclick. ahhh!

Doing the whole thing spot on perfect to die to a misclick trying to combine the scroll with the monster was the most enfuriating bit of gameplay I've had in runescape. Still cooling down from it.

This was a great guide! I got so pissed because the first time the monster appeared I miss-clicked. Right as you said, "Don't die," I replied, "Like I just did..." Unfortunately, even though I got it in 33 minutes, I have not completed the second challenge, so back in I go! Lol

If anyone still watches this awesome guide, one thing that gives you a free death without counting as a death to the monster is having 99 defense and having the skillcape on the anachronia skillcape rack. I found this out by accident and I'm so glad my "death" wasn't actually a death and I still completed all 3 challenges in 1 go.

Holyyyy! Love u! Did it twice to fully complete it for the rewards. I'm f2p. So I set it on my phone with headphones and paused it with the button on my headphones wherever I needed to pause. Set the phone right beside your laptop so it's right in your sight use a glass to make it stand I did that. Love u did it in 35 by legit just pausing here and there mostly by your voice. Got all three can't use the ring since it's p2p but thank you so much! Madd love!

My babies for the book shelf! The bottom book is the first book! Not the top 1! The base 1 is the first 1! So take the bottom 1 out and replace it with another till u get it. It took me an hour but I finally did it after realizing I was doing it backwards! Love u! Never give up!!

Thanks for the guide but you got so many easts/wests mixed up. I don't know if it's because the camera keeps changing but it would be nice if it was all centered around ACTUAL east/west, not relative to where the camera is pointing.

Good guide! 2 small mistakes, at 6:10 you said south door on east wall, but its south door west wall, and at 14:56 you said west door northern wall, when its the east door north wall. Just thought you might want to know :p

Just tried this quest and got stuck on the stupid book stacking for 20 minutes. Had to rage quit before I popped a blood vessel in my head.

idk if I got lucky but I find starting at the bottom 2 and slowly moving up helped, take out the bottom 2, switch them and if they don't work take the 3rd and 1st out and switch then the 4th and so on till the text says I got it right one then do the same for the second third and so on.
