How to make paper HORSE 🐎| Cardboard crafts | Best out of waste

To make this horse you'll need: cardboard, toilet paper roll tubes, packing paper, acrylic paint (I used dark grey metallic color around the eyes) , hot glue, white universal/ school glue, tissue paper, high gloss varnish or clear nail polish for eyes (to make them reflect light), half pearls for eyes, scissors, exacto knife, air hardening modeling clay, water.
First, you need to make basic shape from cardboard. I used a drawing of a horse, but you can print a horse picture, cut it, and then use it as a guide to made horse parts. After making shape from cardboard, I used toilet paper cardboard to further shape a body. The last layer was made gluing packing paper to even out the surface. I used modeling clay to make face features. Lastly, paint your horse with colors of your choosing.

Before I start to make animals and birds, I study many pictures to understand proportions. Even after that, I don't get them exactly right. I always see after what I could done better and improve my techniques 🙂

Yeah, it's like mix media paper mache 😄 I tried to use school glue and paper from the beginning, but it's easier to use hot glue to make basic shape. And it's best to go "dry" as much as you can. The last layers must be as I call "wet layers" because to paint on it it must be drie first. And if you make it wet from the beginning... well, to sum up, I don't recommend 😀
