A big 'thank you' from me too. You do us a great service and take care to explain many 'minor' details that would typically go unmentioned but are very helpful to the novice.

Thank you so much for your videos. Thanks to all of the little tips you have in your content, I was able to sew my first backpack super easily. I actually just started working on version 2 today to fix a few design flaws of the original. Thanks for the inspiration, and for the great and informative content.

Working on this kit right now after having had the materials for several years! When it comes to attaching the netting, it looks like you use a ridgeline. How long is that, and where do you connect it?

My kit just came in for my sons hammock Thanks for this video To undo the zipper to put pulls on I just reef on the ends?
@jellyfish4506 жыл бұрын
Yeah. It will help if you trim one side about a half inch. That makes it easier to tug the zipper pull up the tape.

Thank you very much for the video! You have a wonderful channel! Did your zipper do a little roller coaster wavey thing after you sewn it to the bug net? I used noseeum mesh and my zipper did a wave, no too big of a deal, but I wondered if I maybe stretched the fabric while sewing ?
@jellyfish4506 жыл бұрын
Richard Grissom I didn’t get a wave. Maybe you tugged on the mesh. It is stretchy.

Where do the instruction sheets come from
@mcolynuck6 жыл бұрын
The plan showed the fabric as 50" high, which I assume you cut the fabric down to from it's original 55". You mentioned that the zipper measured as 51". Since the zipper length matched the fabric when you sewed them together, I'm wondering if you had cut the fabric to 51", or cut the zipper to 50"?

You want some extra space on the zipper tape to help line up the teeth.

Can I do this without a zipper foot?

Use the narrowest foot you have. You should be fine.
