The platter is getting scratched somewhere while it is running that's what causes speed problem you can hear the scratching sound too..
@EverythingRetro15 жыл бұрын
One thing bout the speed is the hole on the records is slightly too large so when you play the records you will need to center it before playing it.

What a fantastic little machine. It's a shame these have never been available here in the UK. Thank you for the great review.

I wonder if there is a way to fix the flutter. It seems like it wouldn’t be to hard. Maybe file the adapter a little or tighten the band a bit?

Very impressed to see it has a stereo output, not mono.

Yes I had a mini record player when I was a kid but it got broke by someone and it played full sized records and 45 rpm singles as well and that little thing brings back memories of days gone by and it looks super cool 😎and keep on spinning that vinyl!!!

It's a neat little novelty. Something that blows my mind though is Crosley's decision to use a moving magnet cartridge instead of a ceramic one. Just doesn't make any sense to me as this is not a hifi record player. Having that nice cartridge on this is just a waste! If Crosley can put a moving magnet AT cartridge in this little record player, they should be able to put a MM cartridge in a Crosley cruiser or similar. There's really no excuse.
@Recordology5 жыл бұрын
Crosley has actually replaced the ceramic cart on all but the cruisers I believe. This is to keep the cost down and price competitive on the suitcases. A MM cart would require a pre-amp.

The edge of the platter is a little eccentric and drags on the spindle, which affects the stability of the speed. You should file down the offending edge a little, and improve rotation. Nice little device, though!!

Great video.not convinced enough to ship one in from the USA with the poor wow and flutter issue but what a great concept idea.the notion of building a record player in minature fascinates me too.couple that to the fact everything is in minature we arent going to get amazing quality are we.fabulous idea though.

That connector isn't USB-C. It's actually Micro USB.

That’s a micro usb not a usb c. It would have been nice to have a usb c.

I have bought three of these over the past two months. The first two had problems, and the third and current one works better than them, but it still feels like there is something wrong and I can't put my finger on it. Sometimes it sounds like the background music is dragging or wobbly, but the vocals sound just fine. I know that doesn't make any sense, but that's the best way for me to describe it. Here's a video I made to show what I mean: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mH6rZ2yma8moo9E

The RSD3 has some wow and flutter which is what you are describing. Must consider it a novelty format although as seen on our recent video - the records sound remarkable on a full size turntable.

@@Recordology Is it fixable? The first one I bought didn't have any wow and flutter, but it was playing them too fast and the pitch control didn't work.
