Great video, man. I picked up the pad washer a few months ago, and it's paid for itself over and over again; I absolutely love it. The fact that it isn't as aggressive as compressed air or pad brushes has really extended the life of my pads as well, so I would argue it increases the value proposition in that way too. Even disregarding the value though, having the pads stay cool after each pass is so helpful in improving the consistency of polishing results. It just makes the job so much easier. Also, the glasses look sharp! Good choice.

For anyone watching, buy the mckees pad rejuvenator (it’s the snappy cleaner) and it’ll last you basically forever and it is so much more affordable that the packets. It also gets rinsed completely out when you’re on the washer and doesn’t affect the polish or the surface. It also cleans better than a rinseless imo.

Thank you for that tip! I've heard it works great. I've also heard the DIY detail rinselew works great aa well. I'm going to Try rags to riches and some rinseless since I have them already.. however I'll have to pick up some McKees 👍👍

Don’t buy packets- buy the mckees pad rejuvenator. Much more affordable and it all comes out of the pad and doesn’t affect polishing. McKee’s makes the snappy cleaner so it’s exactly the same.😊

Yup. I agree. I really like mine. After a long day polishing, the last thing I want to do is go in the sink and hand clean pads. I'm already tired and this pad washer works very well. Smurf: the orange Lake County orange pad you had out, I believe, was an HDO pad. Other than being thicker, is it different from the normal orange Lake County pad? Same results on the paint? Ok. Good to see you. Love on the family a ton! Brock Prudy looked good.

Couldn't agree more, Kim after polishing for hours on end. Knowing after your done on the last panel few pumps. Spin... and done! Really looking forward to utilizing this! Yes. That was the HDO ( HEAVY DUTY ORBITAL ) The key is the Grey portion on the back. It's a stiffer layer that helps the pad stay rigid and now sloppy when being worked longer cycles. Or, on the longer throw dual action polishers. Same exact foam though! Just added durability with the Grey section designed for the long throw units🫡 OH man! Purdy looked phenomenal.. very hopeful this year we can take it all the way! 😎👊

Papa smurf I have a question for you I get my polishing pads from chemical guys I have 2 pads each which ain't very many pads when it takes at least 6 of the same pad to do a whole car and I only have 2 of the same pad. What would you do would you buy more pads or buy the lake country 4000 pad washer.
@PapaSmurf918Detail
@PapaSmurf918Detail Жыл бұрын
Hey Ronnie! 👋 to be honest all you need is 2 pads. That's all I use on a job.. not including testing sections with various different pads.. once I know what I'm using I will alternate between 2 pads, always blowing out after each pass. Once the 1st pad gets cleaned I spin it out and set it aside and grab my 2nd pad. Continuing that process once that 2nd pad is ready to clean my 1st pad is ready to go. I've been doing that a while. Now, it's not the most time efficient this I know but this is just a side thing for me. People use multiple pads to help speed up and be more efficient.. this pad washer will be a great addition BUT not needed. I invest into some Lake Country HDO pads, or Rupes Pads, some quality pads before investing in the pad washer. Unless you have the extra cash.. it will come in handy mostly during a job keeping the pad clean, and cool. 🤜🤛 please reach out via Instagram if you have it...at papasmurf918detail if you have any other questions 🤝👍

Big reason to think about one is the time saved, less product needed, and the degradation of the pads. Using compressed air ruins the cells in the foam, causing pre-mature end of life. The cleaner also increases lubrication and makes it so you need less product and no dry pad polishing. And money, saving cost of pads, money on time, and cost of compound/polish. 😊

Great video sir, thanks for sharing your experience with this pad wash system. Can i please share mine perspective also? I personally prefer to invest the same money as the ( whatever brand) pad washer ,to multiple pieces of pads, 10-15+ . And during correction i change then very often almost on every other panel. That helps the pads no oversaturated,not overheat and perform as new in almost every panel. Also using them so little time on each session ,they last me very longer than normal and for months as good as new,and also the velcro stand strong for months due to low stress on.,also i have almost zero dusting, Additionally the spend clear , compound or polish residue is not going deep in the foam and i can wash them by hand in just couple of minutes after i have completed the job. That is my point of view. Again great video congratulations keep up the great work

Thanks man! @@PapaSmurf918Detail hahah....i get you bro. Sorry i meant that you can buy 15+ with the cost of a pad washer. I usually use 5-8 per car on polishing services.
