I had a similar story to harlens. I just got sober and started reading the bible. I had a necklace with isaiah 40:31 on it tucked under my shirt. I picked up a lady crossing the highway with a limp. I asked if she needed a ride and she said she was heading south so i took her as far south as I could until I had to head home and dropped her off. She kept rubbing my bible and said how she loved reading it when she was younger. When she was getting out of the car she thanked me for the ride and told me, those who hope in the lord will soar on wings like eagles. The same verse that was on my neck that she didn't even see. Wild.

I’ve got a few like that first story. When I was 22 I was sitting in my car around 1 am staring at my empty house that I just moved into that was at the end of a dead end street. I was drinking a beer, and I had decided after I finished my beer I was going to going inside and kill myself. As soon as I finished my drink I got out of the car and this car came charging down the street and parked and it was this lady who went to my church when I was a kid and I hadn’t seen her in over a decade. She said she didn’t know why she was here or how she found where I lived but she felt God told her to find me and take me to my parents house for the night. It’s was bizarre and I broke down. These are the days before people had cellphones and were connected like they are now. That night wasn’t the end of my troubles but for sure I felt looked after by something outside of myself when I really needed to.

I knew passwords I didn’t know , I found emails and facebooks I didn’t know about . There was some voice in my head that just kept having me unravel his secrets for the next couple days . So bizarre and amazing . I will say i am not Christian or follow any religion . If I “pray” it’s to everything . I met an angel once. I broke my leg in a car accident and was trapped for a few hours against the tree(had to be cut out with the jaws of life). This man in a white, work vehicle showed up after I sent my brother down the road from to call for help (no cell phone) and somehow he got into the back seat and held c-spine while talking to me and keeping me calm. Anyway, I get better and ask my brother who the guy was so I could thank him or send him a card or something and nobody else has seen him. Nobody knew what I was talking about. I believe that man was my guardian angel 😇

Good podcast. My dad was 1st officer On the scene. Haunted him forever seeing them . The accident occured the night of the Oak Hills High School homecoming dance, October 21, 1972. The location of the accident was the intersection of Taylor and Rybolt roads in Green Township, Cincinnati, OH. A car carrying six Oak Hills students was westbound on Taylor Rd. when a vehicle heading southbound on Rybolt Rd. at a high rate of speed became airborne cresting a hill on Rybolt and landed virtually on top of the student's car. Five of the six occupants were killed. Their names: Deborah Lyn Eckert, Cindy Jane Kreuzman, Kim Marie Wullenweber, Alan Surnbrock and Linda Diane May. It should be noted that the driver and passenger of the "airborne" vehicle both survived the accident. Both were determined to be legally intoxicated, having purchased Alcoholic Beverages using illicit identification. The outcome of this incident led indirectly to the initiation of the use of Photo Identification on all Ohio driver's licenses. A memorial fountain was erected the following year in a courtyard at Oak Hills High School dedicated to the memory of the five accident victims.
