I was at the Davenport show, me and 3 buddies had tix to the first show on Saturday which got cancelled. It was a bummer but we just got hammered and watched people walk into the bar thinking they were gonna see Mark only to be told that he had to cancel. It was hilarious watching everyone die inside. Came back on Sunday for the makeup show and he killed his set. His bit on arthritis was hilarious.

I worked in the oil fields for quite awhile when I was younger. We went to this bar and it was me and two buddies. We were getting wrecked but I ended up losing my two friends for most the night. I was talking to this ex-marine for like 2 hours. Cool ass guy. At one point I remember seeing one friend who was super drunk so I decided to ease up since I drove there. Couple hours later I see that friend again Chris and decided it’s time to leave. I asked him where the other guy Jordan was at and he didn’t know. We make our way to the door through all the people. Soon as I open the door to the parking lot and it swung open that marine I had been talking to was getting punched by someone other guy. Lays him out cold on the ground. I was drunk so I took it wrong and immediately defended this man and got in that guys face. It didn’t take me long to understand it’s a small town and cops are most likely already on their way. Plus the guy was sober so obviously the marine did something probably was his fault. So we just left and headed to my truck. Jordan was no where in site. The marine hopped up and followed us. To which I thought well fuck it I’ll give him a ride or he will go to jail. We make it to my truck and there’s Jordan in the front passenger seat passed out. Perfect. We all hop in and leave. Chris in the back behind the passenger seat on top of a bunch of my laundry. And then the marine behind me And my dog Hooey in the middle. We hadn’t made it a block and the marine is petting my dog calling him dozer. He was hammered and thought it was his old dog or something. Chris is saying no man that’s hooey that’s chris’ dog (I’m also Chris) Well the marine took offense that and started being rude and Chris kept saying the same thing. Before I know it the marine is punching Chris over the dog situation. Chris is on a pile of laundry with his head touching the roof and so the marine is easily feeding him lefts and rights. I’m trying to drive and also yelling for them to stop. I’m swerving everywhere. It’s like 2am. I finally reach back and get the marine by the throat. Jordan’s still passed out. He turns and punches me in the mouth and then punches Jordan in the back of the head. I have never pulled over and hopped out quicker. Jordan woke up from a drunken sleep and also hopped out. Chris also jumped out. We dragged this guy out of my truck and beat his ass in the middle of a highway. A oil tanker even stopped and tried to get us to stop. We left that guy knocked out in the middle of the road. This is North Dakota late October so it was fuckin cold out and already in the negatives. The next morning I woke up and had a huge fat lip. I take my dog out and he is playing with my neighbors dog. Who asks me what happened to my face. Turns out she was a coffee shop worker and before I could finish my story she already knew it. The guy we beat up had come through her stand that morning and told her what happened. Luckily there was a a oil pad next the that highway where we beat him up. He woke up and crawled over to it and fell back asleep under a lit gas flare for warmth. Otherwise he would have died. We were lucky. Not quite like marks story but man it was wild.
