What is one of a kind from a fans perspective? For me, it was a needed break from common. A breath of fresh air from a heavily populated industry. A needed change from mainstream. It is the unique character you long for in a story.

The power Monsta X's maknae line holds. Since the start, MX has always been active musically, not just in an idol sense. When they first debuted, it is understandable that they are not given as much freedom to develop or show their more musical/producer sides but it has always been a mainstay and characteristic of MX (idk about you but it seemed as though they would eventually reach that stage and I believe that they have reached it after 7 years of hard work 😭) - even if doesn't show as much in their earlier years. In recent years, they seem to have broken out of that idol "frame" and "label" and became a powerhouse in kpop and even in the international market, with their distinct style. It's not a style that boxes/limits them but it's a distinct flavour that's weaved into their albums and songs that differentiates them even if they are doing different concepts, especially the ones composed and produced by the members. They may have started out as idols but the monsta x I see right now, is a music team, not just an idol group. They're, especially the maknae line, so talented and they slowly, quietly behind the scenes, worked their way up to having an album that is 90% produced, composed and written by the three of them. It's not sheer luck that they got to where they are today but through pure hard work and tenacity.

It’s been 6 years since Jooheon is giving us precious life’s lessons, this boy is the reason why I started to like Monsta x and listen to kpop even if for 28 years I only listened punk and the good old 90’s hip hop. Maybe it’s the fact that we have the same personality or maybe it’s more but Jooheon became very precious to me, you deserve the recognition ( and more ) you’re getting from this album. I’ll bet on you! Let’s go king!

Getting to witness how Monsta X has evolved sonically and matured in their composition and in many other aspects...I can't help but be grateful that all their relentless hard work has gotten them to this point where they're comfortable about what they produce (the fact that they are able to make songs they like too) and not be so solely focused on bagging number ones. I mean, everything new we're getting from Monsta X are still top-tier, and I don't think that's changing anytime soon.

Jooheon is so inspirational man. I have been having such a hard time ever since the pandemic hit the U.S and I honestly feel like giving up on so many things especially since my mental health has been declining. But the way Jooheon said that it takes hard work to get where you wanna be and although it might be a long and hard road you should never give up. So I will keep moving forward and take it one step at a time. Thank you Jooheon.

One Of A Kind is definitely a masterpiece. Joohoney words touched me hard cause my professional group was affected by pandemia but you know, I started to met Monsta X and the members in February 2020 and my hardships have been less bitter cause they and their music is one fo my reasons. I can't imagine my life without Monsta X and the members, they are part of my family.

Yes! You can tell Jeff genuinely enjoys Monsta X's music so I really loved this interview. You can also tell the members really appreciate the opportunity to talk about their artistry rather than asking what their favorite American food or city is.

Por qué nadie habla de lo talentoso que es Changkyun? Para mí es uno de los idols más completo y talentoso de la industria musical, lo tiene todo, es un grandioso escritor, compositor, productor, rapero, vocalista, modelo, actor, bailarín, etc. Hace de todo! Además de ser uno de los más inteligentes de ahí, su mente es poderosa!
