RSLore: Episode II - The Naragi God Wars

When I first played Runescape back in 2006 and learned of the three original gods, I was most interested by that of Guthix. His followers were modest, kind folk. They didn't seek to dominate lands for their own and were quirky, inventive and for the most part peaceful. As I progressed into membership, I learned of the events of the God Wars and basically held the belief in my mind that Guthix was the one true God of Gielenor, and that the others were invaders with selfish desires. Now that I'm back into Old School Runescape and am interested in the deep world lore, I never knew what the true Origins of Guthix were... and now, my belief that Guthix was the best is now permanently cemented. He is a being that has suffered hardship after hardship for no reason other than the involvement of the other younger gods and their own agendas. I doubt this will reach your attention sir, but thank you for making this series and educating me on the lore of a world that I held close to my childhood.

I always though Saradomin= good, Zamorak= bad, and Guthix= Neutral ; those three are the only gods in the runescape universe, and Gelinor's creators... I never knew how deep the lore goes.

I am absolutely loving this series. Admittedly I am a spacebar-through-quests kinda person (as they are usually obstacles between me and content I want to have). This series is giving me the back story I love but didn’t have time for in the moment. The SOUNDTRACK is also just so immersive. I love it!!

? i didn't forget it... the kiln has nothing to do with the naragi god wars, and guthix brought the stone-horn-staff with him from his travels. Hence only mentioning those things ^^

the powers of Transcendental gods are only capable of mutating existances into other things, such as the Ascension NPCs who are a likely a manipulation of human followers or something akin to that. So he could mutate life that still exists (if there is any) on the Naragi Plane. However he could never revive his ilk, since they have been obliterated. Besides that, it may be that Guthix simply couldn't bring himself to return to his horrific past. Nor to his daughter gravesite...
