Big up Ryan bro, not the best game in the world, but imo, both us and you needed this game, bit of a wake up call for both. In terms of France, need to work on the final third, and for Canada. This game proves you guys can defend well. I think games like this are needed before tournaments to get the teams ready. Im still confident we will win the euros, and Canada will do well in coppa America!

Good summation, and I hope y’all do well (especially if y’all don’t go through Italy… if you got to… I hope Italy shocks y’all… I honestly don’t know which result would shock me more… Canada 0-0 or an Italy over France win…)

@@RyanAnderson27 nah I think we will avoid Italy because they won’t go that far imo. But yeah I’m rooting for you guys in the coppa America. I think imo yesterday to me atleast proved why konate & saliba is the best partnership, and that dechamps has to stop playing kounde rb, has to be clauss

Massive difference compared to the prior match against Holland and seems the team is learning. I'm cautiously optimistic heading into the game against Argentina, which luckily will be played on a neutral site. Hopefully we see more types of matches against top European opponents.

It wasn’t embarrassing, it’s a friendly. No one cares. These games are all about getting the team ready, getting minutes, giving people chances, I would rather get the bad performances out now then in the euros.

It's a good result, but let's be honest: France played that match very casually, without any urgency.
@RyanAnderson27

But again, a 0-0 against the 2nd best team in the world where Canada could’ve won if more guys crashed the box or David just shot it… yeah, that’s good enough for me… especially when I expected 7-0 France going in
@djknox2
@djknox2 3 ай бұрын
@@RyanAnderson27 I am frustrated how our players are afraid to shoot. when one is 10 to 15 yards out with only 1 defender in front, it's not hard to score and yet they always want to make that one extra pass. I was shocked with Millar stroked the crossbar from 22 yards out!
@RyanAnderson27
@RyanAnderson27 3 ай бұрын
@@djknox2 TFC and Canada both… but again if you watch that Jesse Marsch: Masterclass video I’m alluding to in the review, he says one of the biggest things they’re looking for in his system is overrunning the box and tap ins from those overruns.. which explains why David put in that low cross late in the match… just the overrun wasn’t there. So I can explain it for Canada.. TFC, I don’t think Herdman has a similar explicit thought on the overruns and flat crosses from the half space… so I can’t answer why TFC does.. but if the overrun can happen and works, great… but if you got a chance to belt one from 15-25 yards and you got a clear line, especially against a team better than you (like France, you go for it… can’t hurt… just win the 2nd ball on the Goal Kick)
@djknox2
@djknox2 3 ай бұрын
@@RyanAnderson27 Not easy to get tap ins against top opponents, but a reasonably placed strike within 20 yards is a goal most of the time. AND, if you start doing that, it forces the defense's play, which can open up that small pass for a tap in. Guys like Eustaquio MUST start making the occasional strike on goal to keep the defense off balance.
