Wow. This is your first video? It's extremely professional. While watching I was actually wondering how many subscribers you had. I was assuming it was in the 100 thousands, due to the quality of this video. Keep it up man, you're going to have millions of subscribers one day. In the mean time, I'll give you one more sub :)

Thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave this comment. I didn't intend for this to be my first video, but I really needed it for a web page (GrowthOrigin.com/Subscribe) -so I took the time to teach myself how to make this type of video. It took 60 hours to make. RSS is a hard topic to make enjoyable, but now that the web page is complete I'm currently working on other videos which are more fun for everyone. I hope to have the next 2 videos uploaded soon! :)

@@GrowthOrigin i understand and i can relate to that a bit too much... - i put down drawing 10+ years ago, and never picked it back up.. i might this year. - i periodically put down guitar playing, for months or years, then pick it back up and realize i don't "understand" why i even took that break... - i have long awaiting personal passion projects (sw) to be worked on, i actually got back on them during the lockdowns. being able to turn and actually turning something like a pandemic into anything productive is GOLD! (i also took a sabbatical break from my job ahead of the pandemic :) ) - photography: another one coming and going (for years, with reoccurring 6 month long breaks), used the pandemic to get accreditation for it, like 6 months ago.. no photo since :) - i also like to work on guitars, some low level customisation, building kits, body finishes.. two guitars wait their turn for 2 years already... but it's happening.. there are reasons to justify these, but that does not make me feel any better; i have learned to accept the remorse, in order to move forward and do something about it; I try all the psychology tricks in the book i am aware of for making things move forwards, what worked most for me was : 1. To-do lists (acknowledgement) 2. DONE lists (more important than to-do's, drives the dopamine even when less productive) 3. Micro-steps ("small victories" are essential) 4. Planning/scheduling (a skill that gets acquired "on the job") ...basically: structure is key (bullet journaling can help a lot), and gives us the time we feel we don't have or that it slips away too fast. Glad to hear from you, i wish you to find motivation and energy for working on your skill stack, whatever fields that involves.

@@Dm3qXY Always a struggle, but we get better each time! I was fortunate enough (and embarrassed enough) to have people that genuinely felt passionate about my video style that showed real concern about my status or health offline; some even wondered if maybe I died. On the discussion section of my channel page a few of these people genuinely reached out and offered to directly help me, check up on me, or offer to directly email me or message me motivation to help push me. And I accepted their offer. I think sometimes we need outside help in the form of friendly nudges. We usually think we don't but the entire time we think that we don't, we'll sometimes just stare at the task, EVEN THOUGH we actually love doing it, and just get more and more upset that we aren't doing it and wonder why we aren't just doing it. It's even more stressful when we know it brings joy to others and it's so simple to do. Why are we so weird? LOL ------------------ I find it particularly interesting that you mention a 'DONE List' because I think we all do this to some degree, but I've never heard it called by name. The way I commonly seen it done, and the way I do it, is putting a strike-through the completed item. I like to do it with focused intent. Maybe draw the line a little slower than you normally would-for the extra satisfaction. I'm curious to learn what your version of a 'DONE List' looks like. Is it just rewriting your completed tasks onto a nicer page to record your completions. A way to extend the joy that moment brings and help drive you to accomplish the next task?
