RT0702C has anti-restart function, whereas RT0700C does not. Difference is also in no load speed - RT0702C: 10.000 - 34.000 min-1 / RT0700C: 10.000 - 30.000 min-1, and a small difference in dimensions and weight.

At the moment there is no new version of trimmer announced. However, XGT version of the trimmer will be available this year.
