Nice to see you finally get there with the RT330 can’t wait to have mine done next year. The Revo dealer that will be doing mine is running a forge recirc valve FMDVST180R with no issues, As when he switched from the Revo S242 turbo he was getting a boost leak through the GFB DV+ he was using at the time. Just something else to think about👍

Hi, just been speaking to the guys at SCC whilst getting work done. They said revo are no longer going to be selling the rt330. As the turbo manufacturer wants them to buy too many units for it to be viable anymore. So you could be one of the last rt330s sold.😭
@CarRambles4 жыл бұрын
That's insane
@Ghrolz4 жыл бұрын
@@CarRambles Yeah no doubt they have a few units left on the shelf,but going forward they wont be stocking or selling it apparently. With alot of people going to the mk8 I guess having a warehouse full of turbos isn't cost effective if they don't sell that many. Maybe they will use a new turbo that they don't have to buy on mass.

Great video man, can't wait to see the first drive / impressions style video - one thing I would say is at 1:13 ish if you want to watch the video at a constant volume throughout the music gets really loud here so I have to adjust it and then the talking after is quite quiet straight after the music

Might of had the turbosmart done up quite loose, either way it wasn't anything bad and the camera made it look worse than it was. I can confirm (To my knowledge) the turbosmart is still full operational and was not the cause of and boost loss... OEM turbo is absolutely fine also :)

Hey man how have you been? I have recently been watching your videos and subscribed to your channel because of all the usefull informations you provided us on the fiesta st. I have a few small questions on your car, first how is your car doing so far with the big turbo in it, is the stock engine holding on nicely? And second, are you using a Revo rear engine mount? If so, how do you like it so far, would you recommend it? Because my car have been making squeaking noises when i do short acceleration on a cold engine. I think it because of the engine mount. Thanks in advance bro and have a nice day! 👍
@CarRambles3 жыл бұрын
Turbo has been perfect and no engine issues that I know of so far :) Revo torque mount I haven't used, however I've heard it's good and ridged, some people find it a bit much for a daily car but they soon wear in after a few hundred miles :) I personally would go with the Revo mount and have thought about switching to it myself
@Lee711Shine3 жыл бұрын
@@CarRambles Wow thanks for the quick reply man and great to hear that the engine is so reliable and still holding on strong! I was also thinking of installing revo mount on my ST if it'll fix the squeaking problem. Cheers mate, have a nice day :)

Im planing in future to get VT330R from peron, is there a big difference between VT330R, RT330 and X47 from pumaspeed ? or is the power levels close each other ? does anyone have a experience on these turbos? And nice video bro !
@CarRambles4 жыл бұрын
Tbh it's mainly down to the map..the x47 is just a bored out stock turbo. The VT and rt330 is a built turbo. It's alot to do with the map.of the car. Not so much the turbo. Get a solid turbo and a good remapper can create excellent power.
@lewisrowezer71934 жыл бұрын

Is that an oem actuator on the new turbo? I have a cp2 map on my ST, which with no other mods makes about 220bhp. Collins told me anything past that, the oem actuator starts to struggle and they suggest to upgrade. They said it will still hit the power figures on dyno with the oem actuator, but for actual driving, it can only cope holding the power for such a short space of time.
@CarRambles4 жыл бұрын
Yeah perhaps. It is an OEM actuator and it's my last thing to check. Done the boost solenoid and the dv. It has to be the actuator now....... Right.... Aha. I made power for like the first run or two and then it just drops off and can't hold above 23psi..

I've just got to find an actuator that fits the rt330 housing now aha

Downpipe bolts on these honestly are the most annoying thing in the universe, literally done 3 decats and each time at least 1 bolt snaps and have to take the turbo off to drill it out... sad times :(

@benhowell12624 жыл бұрын
Car Rambles Forge recirc is the only fit and forget one so that’s a big plus straight away and the GFB one is extremely prone to sticking and going wrong, forge is the most expensive on the market so you get what you pay for bud

So anyone know why REVO don't longer sell these RT330 turbo?
@CarRambles4 жыл бұрын
Supply issue to my knowledge, the turbo maker wanted to sell way more in bulk than Revo wanted to buy so I guess the deal broke down and they stopped as it wasn't I assume the best financial decision. Obviously I'm making assumptions on rumours I've heard but it all points towards supply and demand
