This is hands down THE BEST guide on RTA for beginners. Because of you I was able to win my first match in RTA (followed by two more immediately after) May all your pulls be shiny and kudos for the Valkyrie sprite. Hopefully the new game isn't a huge let down.

Finally! I needed this. I usually struggle when my Emilia gets banned. How do I get better in knowing what my opponent is going to ban? I don't have a wide hero pool and maybe that's one of the problems but I want to climb to Master for that Aravi skin and maybe get into challenger for the frame.

have alternative supports. if you don't have something like diene or handguy, then have units prepared that can cover those slots. like holiday yufine when you need to cleave and counter aggro and destina for when you need hard cleanse.

Yo If You Know Dota Plus. That System Is tell dota Player What Should The team Pick Heroes to Counter Enemy Heroes . I think If U Can Make that system that will be nice to counter pick "Good VS" System : 1. Enemy Pick 2. Input Enemy Hero Name , result Counter Pick / best pick 3. Recommended Ban depend on "Bad VS" No one make this system . If u can make from what u tell in this video. And make sure the gear is standard . 1st rank is easy XD, maybe :v .

So... One thing I didn't understand. Why is handguy weak against cleave? The builds I see are very tanky so I figured he can survive cleaves and then he can cleanse any debuffs applied plus atk buff for a comeback. Of course, he has no healing but cleave teams are squishy, right? So they should die after the comeback.

Think of it this way, if you pick him into cleave you're saying, "I'm taking turn 2" - he's not got anything like Delibet to boost himself up & sort of cut off the cleaves head after the set up. So you're comitted to tanking down & so you need mitigation, without mitigation, a cleave will go through you - even without defence break. However, you can't bank two mitigation heroes, because you're then relying on a single DPS to solo & they can be easily focused. Only bank a single one though & your opponent bans mitigation & you can't survive.

on top of what The Sea of Thy Soul said above. you should try fighting cleave purist with him. what normally happens is your 1 knight gets banned, their cleave combo goes through and either kills your carries or leaves them very low and stunned from seaseria or eda. when handguy takes a turn what do? he can either press s3, activate opponent politis and kill his own team, s2 isn't an option because unbuffable from things like the earlier poli s3 or peira, or he can just s1 to cr boost MAYBE something not stunned but since he can't choose who to boosts that's really RNG right? most of the time to fight cleave you need to landmine them with units like rem or cr cutting units like sage baal.

Hmmm... I see. Thanks. I'm not going for speed so I think it's always going to be obvious that I'm going for turn 2, but didn't think through the rest of the draft issues. I guess I will have to build Sage Baal to have more options and avoid getting screwed by bans. =P

go out there and start networking. I had the same goal, hit go live. eventually I hit a point better player noticed me and started talking and coachig me in chat. just gotta put in the work to get out there.
