alphadogg64 it's becoming less and less common with each generation, but the old medical belief around here (now obsolete) was that circumcision was healthier for hygiene reasons. combine that with how slow American culture is to change anything, and that's why the majority of us are circumcised.

Well the current president has nothing to do with the decision to remove foreskin, it has to do with religion in some cases, though more for hygienic purposes today. There is also a type of cancer specifically in the penis the prevails mostly, if not completely in those who are uncircumcised (there are minimal to no reported cases of it in people without foreskin). Doctors also suggest that for infants, you "do what the father has" to avoid "early questions" since the son usually sees the fathers penis while toilet training. But yeah people have their own opinions about whether it should be considered mutilation, as the foreskin has added pleasure. As a female I don't have a concrete stance on the topic though, just saying the facts
